Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these T-Track Adapter Kit for your Thule cargo boxes. This kit is going to allow you to attach the Thule cargo box directly to your T-tracks on your crossbars, So it is going to replace the PowerClick clamps on your Thule cargo box, so this kit is specifically designed for those cargo boxes with the PowerClick mounting clamps. So the way this is gonna work, you'll take out your mounting clamps, you'll pass these through the T-tracks on your crossbars, this will fit with your 20 millimeter T-track width, and then once you have those in place, you'll be able to set your cargo box down on top of it, this will pass through the holes in the box, and then you'll put the larger portion on the inside of the box where your clamps normally would go, and then you can tighten it down, like so, inside, so that you'll have a nice snug fit like you're used to. So if you are wanting to use those T-tracks rather than having the mounting clamps that go around your crossbars, this is gonna be a great option for you.
Because this is from Thule, you can trust it is gonna work with the Thule cargo box, you're not gonna have to worry about fit issues or anything like that. They do include all of the hardware that you're gonna need to get these installed, as well as instructions that walk you through that process a little bit better than I just did. But then you can see on the bottom of these brackets are gonna be these portions that stick up or stick down into that track where your clamps typically go, so that's gonna help prevent that from moving at all, so when you have it tightened down, it is gonna be nice and snug in there for you. So very easy to get installed, to get switched out in place of those PowerClick mounting clamps. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any problems with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com.

These adapters allowed me to attach my Thule box, that has recessed attachment points, to a Prinsu roofrack. It required adding drilled-through 1-inch thick aluminum profiles on top of existing ones (or anything of that thickness will work as a spacer), and replacement of the bolts with longer ones to cover the additional distance. The new bolts (M8, 75 mm) were customized with an angle grinder to fit in the T-slot of the Prinsu rack

Initially I was told the T-Track Adapter kit was not compatible with a Thule Pulse 615 cargo box, as the boxes utilize EasyGrip mounting hardware. I had no other option but to try, as it and none of the other Thule mounting options such as FastClick, FastGrip, PowerClick, and PowerGrip are compatible with a DropRack. As the inside photo of the box shows, the T-Track studs fit through the rubber-lined mounting slots in the bottom of the box and allow for much fore-and-aft positioning. I mounted a hoist on my interior garage ceiling with which to lift and lower the whole setup on and off my Jeep Grand Cherokee's roof.
The various etrailer reps with whom I've interacted during this process have all shown they demonstrate the utmost skill in assisting customers like myself with common scenarios and not-so-common challenges.

M8 T bolts with head dimensions 20mm x 27mm fit Thule TracRac SR top rail T slots perfect. M8 51mm (2 inch) long T bolts and wing nuts can be used to mount any accessory to Thule TracRac SR top rail T slot or any crossbar with 20mm T slots. Kit is a bit pricy to use only quantity 4 T bolts and quantity 4 wing nuts however worth it since these are the only long M8 T bolts I could find to fit 20mm T slot cross bars.

ETrailer comes through again! Needed this adapter to install a Thule cargo box on Dropracks. ETrailer get 5 plus stars! Product works as expected but gets 4 stars for the price, though it's typical for Thule products.
