etrailer.com has been amazing to me. I've gotten several items over the time; things big and small. Always on time, always promptly delivered. But how they impressed me the most was some little, few-buck item for which I did not know the complimentary item; some bolt or washer. I sent a question assuming I would never hear from them but... Boom- some good soul quickly writes me back if my item is such and such then I need this (even provides a link). If my item is some other type, then I need such and such. WOW. That was a few bucks item; very cool.
Also, I could not find this item anywhere else but a used one on eBay. Retailer had new/unused one.

I have been using basic Thule cross bars on several of my cars since 1990 and currently attaching them to the factory roof racks. But old plastic becomes brittle and I had 2 of the mounting pieces crack. I was disappointed that replacement parts for my rack system are no longer available from Thule. After a quick search on the internet I found Etrailer
and exactly the mounts and hardware I needed to use my racks again.
So my canoe will get to the lake, a Christmas tree will come home, and the new mattress I'll be buying soon will go up on the roof securely.
Glad to have found a source for replacement parts I may need someday.130852

The Thule Footbases provide a strong, secure lockable, & easy on-off method of connecting the Thule square load bars and allow kayak or bike carry attachments. Without the attachments, I also transport lumber and a ladder. Thanks etrailer!

Works with Thule 430 towers to connect to a 2001 4Runner factory-installed rack. Used the runner rail nuts with the factory towers/cross bars and 6 x 20mm SS bolts purchased from local hardware store. Expanded rack size to accommodate large roof storage box and 2 bike racks.

Working fine.

Part's fit and function was spot on for what I needed. The shipping from etrailer left something to be desired. Part was in stock at time of ordering, order tracking confirms in stock. Order ships 9 days later by usps then arrives to me 8 days after that. 17 days turn around for in stock items, leaves room for improvement.1284124

The Thule company no longer stocked the replacement foot base I needed for my car rack. They referred me to several other sources, including etrailer. Great, no complaints. I took the racks off my truck for the winter. I will contact you in the spring if I need any parts.

No washers included or notes saying that you night want to buy the other parts… if the base is missing/lost/stolen it is fair to assume so is the bolt and nut that is required to use this piece.1451281

I took a picture of the parts I received and plus the message from the Post Office. I sent it in and was contacted immediately by the company. They sent me the missing parts. I had broken me railing foot on my Thule rack do to strapping plywood down on a windy day. Driving with this headwind was just to much for the rack. I found etrailer online, found the parts and placed the order. Everything else was clock work. Factory Thule parts showed up within the week, easy to replace and I was back in business. Living on the Big Island of Hawai'i, This is on heard of.

When I first broke the railing foot i thought I was up a creek with out a paddle. I thought I would have to buy a whole new system from a local dealer (if I could find one). Then wait 6-8 weeks for it to arrive. This is how it usually works living on a island in the middle of the Pacific. When I was able to order the parts at very reasonable cost, have them in a week, & installed with in 20 minutes. I was a happy camper.

When I need any trailer or other truck accessories parts, I will go to eTrailer.com
