Base Plate Fit For Flat Towing 2011 Chevy Suburban 2500

Question:

BX1676. Will this also safely tow a 2011 Suburban 2500 model? Thought I saw a screen that only mentioned 1500.

We do have base plates that are a fit for your 2011 Chevy Suburban 2500, though the part you mentioned is only a fit for the 1500 model. I'll list out the fits for you of all the parts you will need in order to flat tow your '11 Suburban 2500:

- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 3115-3

- Tow Bar: Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-422

- Safety Chains: Roadmaster Safety Cables # RM-646

- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154

- Supplemental Braking System: Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates are great because they have removable tabs which means your Suburban is going to keep its clean look when you aren't flat towing. The Blackhawk tow bar is the right option because it has a 10,000 lb capacity, which is needed in order to tow your heavier Suburban. It also has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing, and cable guides so you can easily utilize the safety cables.

The Hy-Power Diode wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your Suburban's electrical system safe, and both the Brake Buddy Classic is easy to use and gives you the ability set the braking power to your liking for safe and sure stopping power.

I also recommend the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750 to keep rocks and other debris from hitting your Suburban while you are flat towing it. You may also need a high-low adapter such as # RM-072-2 in order to keep your tow bar level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter, as well as a link to our selection of adapters.
