Compatibility of Spare Tire Carrier with Hi Low Adapter
Question:
previously installed RM1955225 hitched mounted spare tire carrier to RV which ped receiver height by 2.5 . With new tow car receiver needs to be raised to meet the 3 inch from level specs. for tow bar. Yesterday I purchase RM-072-2 to solve the problem. just read the instruction and it gives a warning do not use more than one hitch receiver extension at any given time, for towing applications extensions are not designed to be linked together causing towing system to fail Does this apply to my set up or am I OK to safely use theses 2 parts together?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I called Roadmaster, the tech informed me that they do not recommend these two items be used together, he also mentioned to me that it would be unsafe.
One solution I came up with would be to put the spare tire carrier on the back of the towed vehicle.
If you would like to provide me with a little more information about your towed vehicle, I would be more than happy to recommend a hitch setup for you.
