Video Transcript for Redline Tires and Wheels 25-51 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Replacement Screw-In Trailer Hub Wheel Stud. This is a 1/2 inch diameter by 2 inches in length, and this is for a quantity of one. Now, this 1/2 inch stud is designed to replace a damaged wheel stud on your trailer hub. Does have a coarse threaded section of the stud right here. This will screw into the threaded hole on your trailer hub. Then the finer threaded section right here of the stud is what will go through the bolt 00:00:23 hole on your trailer wheel, and when used with a 1/2 by 20 size wheel lug nut will hold your tire and wheel to your axle.

I do happen to pull a 1/2 inch by 20 lug nut, a standard lug nut. You can see when this is installed into your hub, put your wheel up on the stud, and then just put your lug nut on there and torque it down to the correct specification. Now, these bolts are grade five bolts. A few measurements on this. The overall length, total end-to-end is 2 inches. Now the threaded length on both ends, the length of the threaded section on both ends is going to be right at 7/8 of an inch.

The differences on these, the thread size on the core section right here is a 1/2 inch by 13 threads per inch, and on the fine section, that's where the lug nut attaches to, will be the 1/2 inch by 20 thread per inch. That should do it for the review on the Replacement Screw-In Trailer Hub Wheel Stud, 1/2 inch diameter, 2 inches in length, and a quantity of one.

I've been trying to find studs to replace bad ones on an older utility trailer I have and the only place I could find them was at etrailer. I never realized just how many products they carry. Their web site is very easy to navigate, the ordering process was extremely simple, and the shipment arrived within just a couple of business days! Much better than most of the other websites I have used in the past. I will recommend this web site to all my friends looking for any trailer or towing part in the future. Thanks!

I have used several parts from etrailer over the years, and have never had any problem. they handle only the best quality and I can get hard to find products sent quickly and easily right to my house. I could not recommend a company more highly than etrailer.

  • How To Determine Which Wheel Stud Will Fit My Dexter RV Axles?
In order to determine if the Trailer Hub Wheel Stud, Screw-In # 25-51 will fit, I will also need to know the thread diameter, the length of the stud, the length of the splined portion of the stud, the base length and the diameter of the splined portion. Since you mentioned that someone else had used the wrong size bolts, and you have no threads in certain situations you are going to need to re-tap the treads for the affected areas. Let me know what you have and we can try and see if we...

  • Replacement Hubs for Dexter 5048964 Axle
I was able to confirm with Dexter that the 5048964 axle are a 3500-lbs EZ lube axle, which will accept hubs with an # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing. If you just wanted to replace the wheel studs, all of the hubs that fit on this axle use 1/2" wheel studs. I've linked all of the 1/2" wheel studs we have available for you to have a look at. Generally speakiing you'll want to use something like the 1/2" Drive In Wheel Stud # RG03-080 or the screw in # 25-51, depending on...

  • Is There a Replacement Reverse Thread-In Wheel Stud for Dayton Fayette 9349 Hub
I might have an option for you though none of our wheel studs like the Replacement Wheel Stud, Screw-In, 1/2" part # 25-51 are reverse thread. Therefore, the only possible solution we can offer is a new hub/drum. If you can let me know the bearing numbers and or dimensions (see article for help) I can pick out a replacement for you or you can search yourself using the link below. I think I saw where these were 10" with a 5 lug pattern so in which case I have filtered our selection further...

  • Using Redline # 25-51 Wheel Stud on Fayette Dayton Brake Drum
The portion of the # 25-51 stud that would thread into the drum is 1/2 inch diameter x 5/8 of an inch in length. The threads are coarse, with a 13 threads per inch thread pitch. You should be able to compare this with one of your current lug bolts to see if there's a match. Redline couldn't tell me if the stud is a correct replacement for your Fayette Dayton brake drum.

  • Can Studs be Installed and Used Instead of Bolts for Trailer Hubs/Wheels
You very well could use wheel studs instead of bolts by installing screw-in studs like the 1/2" x 2" Redline # 25-53 or # 25-51, or the 9/16" x 3" Redline # 25-11. Just be sure that the stud is the correct size, the middle opening on your new wheels is larger than the hub bore, and that your wheels accept coned lug nuts like part # CE11051. If all of that matches up then you are good to go!
