Today, we're going to take a look at this installation bolt kit for the Gen-Y Hitch Fifth-Wheel Pin Boxes and the Fifth-Wheel to Gooseneck Adapters.Now this bolt kit will include all the installation hardware that's required for mounting a Gen-Y Pin Box to your Fifth-Wheel trailer. It includes everything laid out here on the table. We'll start with the bolts. There's 12, the five-eighths-inch size by two-inch grade eight bolts, and there's 12 of the five-eighths-inch steel locknuts, and then 24 of the five-eighths-inch size flat washers.Now, this kit will work on the following Gen-Y Fifth-Wheel Pin Boxes: part number 325-GH-8040 and then part number GY46FR.
Both of those pin boxes we do sell separately on our website.This hardware kit will also work on the following Gen-Y Fifth-Wheel to Gooseneck Adapters: part number 325-GH-8045, part number GY36FR, GY56FR, GY58FR, and GY66FR. Again, all of those adapters we do sell separately on our website.If you notice on the bolts themselves, just zoom in a little bit, you can see, they do use a rust-resistant zinc finish on the bolts and these parts are made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on the installation bolt kit for the Gen-Y Hitch Fifth-Wheel pin boxes and the Fifth-Wheel and Gooseneck Adapters.

Bolt kit includes all installation hardware required for mounting a Gen-Y pin box to your fifth-wheel trailer.Nice upgrade to the Grade 5 bolts that were on king pin. Price was comparable to big box store and they didn’t have them in stock.
Works very well. There’s a lot less chucking. I don’t regret buying it. I installed myself. I built a wooden pin box, backed my truck under the pin and lowered the trailer to rest on the wooden box. Braced the back end with 2x4’s and removed the bolts. Reinstalled with the same method. The hardest part was lifting pin boxes in and out of the truck.
It is a great great hitch I really like how you don’t feel the axles hitting bumps and railroad tracks. It’s a great design
Engineering looks great it was simple to install but honestly have not had a chance to pull the trailer yet.

After a year of use, I am extremely pleased with the Gen-Y hitch. We drove the I-10 route from Florida to Texas and back and anyone who has driven the bayou bridges knows, it can be brutal. The Gen-Y hitch made the humps and bumps more tolerable.
