Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, I'm gonna take a look at this replacement 48-inch long breakaway switch with the cable and the pin for your Dexter Trailer Breakaway Kit. Now, this part here replaces the switch that came with your Dexter Trailer Breakaway Kit. That breakaway kit we do sell separately. It's part number 34-285. And you can see the switch is in a nylon case.
And the pin that goes into it is also nylon construction. So that does ensure durability. The lanyard provides a durable tension point between the switch and the tow vehicle. And if you look on the switch, has this weldable high temperature metal mounting tab for simple installation. The cable and the pull pin are included.
These parts are made in the USA. The switch itself is about one and a half inches wide, about three inches long, and about seven-eighths of an inch thick. The cable length is about 48 inches, and the wire that comes out of the switch is about 46 inches long. Does come with a couple screws to adjust the tension on the cable.
