How To Verify Gen-Y Pin Box Adapter For 2015 Keystone Cougar 279RKSWE

Question:

Will the Gen Y Hitch Executive Pin Box Goose Neck adapter GY58GR work for our 2015 Keystone Cougar 279RKSWE 5th wheel trailer? We were told it has a 1621 bolt pattern. It is a Lippert brand. S/N 027-000038832 we believe, the label was painted over so not the easiest to read.

Since we are not 100% sure of the serial number on your 2015 Keystone Cougar 279RKSWE I recommend verifying the bolt measurements on the pin box. A 1621 pin box is going to have the 5/8" bolt holes spread 2" vertically and 7-7/8" horizontally on center. If you have something different please let me know otherwise the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR is going to be the correct bolt pattern and weight range for your Cougar.

Do remember you will need Safety Chains # GY49GR since you are moving to a ball connection and we have a Bolt Kit # GY86FR if you are not wanting to reuse the factory hardware.

Does that gooseneck adator come with safety chains? Or how much are they?

@Ron The Gooseneck Adapters like the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR are not going to come with chains. You will need their Safety Chain Kit # GY49GR to add onto the pin box.

Can I assume that the Gen-Y hitchcomes with the installation bolts/washers necessary to attach it to my trailer

@Ron The Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR does not include new mounting hardware as this is often reused. We do offer the Bolt Kit # GY86FR if you do not want to reuse the hardware and install new hardware.
