The brake set is functioning very well. I am very happy with this purchase and the technical support I received

by:

incorrect brake shoes. all bearings were outer bearings, no inner bearings. drum, axle, brake cylinder were correct

by:

Works good so far. A little spendy for a pair of brake shoes, but their galvanized for boat trailer use.

  • Recommended Replacement Brake Assemblies For Eagle Trailer Drum Brakes
We have a few product options to replace your brake assemblies. I recommend the Hydraulic Brake Kit - Uni-Servo - Free Backing - Dacromet - 10" - Left/Right Hand - 3,500 lbs # AKFBBRK-35-D. This will give you both assemblies for one axle. These are free-backing so you can back up with your trailer without engaging the trailer brakes. They are marine-grade and designed for boat trailers. The dacromet coating offers corrosion resistance. Another really nice option is the similar brake...

  • Hydraulic 10 Inch Free Backing Trailer Brakes Lock Up When Wet
What it sounds like is happening with the Dexter Hydraulic Brake Kit - Free Backing - Galphorite - 10" - Left/Right Hand - 3,750 lbs # T4423500-400 locking up when wet is the shoe has likely absorbed moisture and expanded, causing the lock up. That's why when they dry they still work as intended. That's the best guess anyway as I'm not quite sure what else it could be, and unfortunately there isn't a fix for this, so you can either replace the whole brake kit with # T4423500-400 or try...

  • Replacement Titan Brake Shoes For 10" Free Backing Hydraulic Brakes
We do carry reaplcement brake shoes for the Titan 10" free backing brakes with part # T4744800 and part # T4742700 for uni-servo 10" Titan hydraulic brakes (standard brakes). We do not carry them as a kit for all 4 wheels however, it may be more cost effective to just replace the whole braking assembly instead of the brake shoe. If you have free backing brakes on the trailer I recommend Titan Hydraulic Brake Kit - Free Backing - Galphorite part # T4423500-400 which have a galphorite plating...

  • Info Needed Picking Out Replacement Master Cylinder for 2006 Eagle Trailer Model E20-5
We do have several brake master cylinder replacements but since we don't know what coupler your trailer has (also couldn't find any pictures of it online) I can't tell you without getting more info from you. If you can check the coupler for any brands or markings I can help you determine if we have what you need. If it's an Atwood though I can tell you right now we don't have the part as that coupler is no longer made. Also I'll need to know what type of brake assemblies you have; disc...
