I originally purchased a less expensive tongue box from a local discount tool retailer. After closer inspection, it was clear that this cheaper model was of very poor build and material quality. I returned it and ordered this RC Manufacturing box from etrailer. After a year of pretty heavy use and all kinds of weather, it has held up perfectly. I should have realized all along hat there is no substitute for quality workmanship and materials.1332856

This is a really well constructed...solid box. Very happy with it. It took a bit of a beating during shipment...a few areas chipped and textured finish scraped off...but nothing to do with the manufacturer or merchant. I put it in the front of my travel trailer...behind the propane tanks. Had to move the tanks forward a bit. It now stores my two batteries, I added a marine battery switch, and it still has tons of room to hold blocks of wood, water hose, and power cord. Had to install angle iron across the front of the frame rails because it was a bit too far back to fit on top of the frame. I'm really happy with the finished product.542207

The steel RC tongue box is rock solid. Many boxes are flimsy and have cheap components. This box will no doubt stand up to abuse and last a long time. As a trailer manufacturer, we only install premium components on our trailers and this is out go-to toolbox.492674

This was my first time ordering from etrailer and was very pleased with their service and communication. Product shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived 2 days later. The packaging was damaged to the extent that I figured the tool box had to suffer as well, but to my surprise there was only one small area that needed touched up with a little black paint and did not warrant retuning. The tool box appears to be built very well and should easily meet my needs. I would purchase this tool box again and not hesitate to do business with etrailer.511526

One year later still going strong.

Great, ordered over the weekend and had the product on Wednesday. Quality is what I expected1754739

The product itself is built like a tank. The minus 3 stars is for the shipping experience. Probably the worst shipping experience I have ever had. The box is huge and weighs 71 pounds. It was shipped in a single wall cardboard box with one piece of tape closing it, no padding, and the label was applied upside down. The box traveled with UPS on its lid, and arrived to me mangled. The lid was bent so far in on the corner that it wouldn't open without me having to bend the piece of metal out. The powder coat was damaged in multiple places.

I'm satisfied with etrailer's response to quickly reship, hoping it shows up packaged better. Now I have to figure out how to ship this back. I can't believe that it was shipped so poorly to begin with. Expensive mistake that could have been easily prevented.1307811

I purchased this toolbox for my Jumping Jack tent trailer. I also purchased 6 (1" Long Black Torx Wall Liner Screw) mounting screws. All went well with the installation. It's securely on the trailer with no movement. I bought this particular toolbox to securely store a Honda eu2200 generator even though the dimensions of the box indicated it would fit. Unfortunately, the lid arm and the box lock dimensions would not accommodate the generator(1 star deduction). I still liked the toolbox so I decided not to return. Upon my first use, the locking mechanism stopped opening the lid to the box (another 1 star deduction). As I type this review, I'm on a 30 minute hold to reach ertrailer.com customer service to start the process for getting a new locking mechanism for the box. Prior to this call, I spoke with RC Manufacturing representative, who indicated they would send a new lock to me once they receive the relevant information from etrailer.com.1131896

the tool box is fantastic. Not a mark on it. Very durable. I keep my batteries and inverter in it. Well thought out design and finish. No rust at all. Survived a Canadian Winter stored in the snow and ice as well as UV in the summer.

This is a high quality toolbox with a nicer looking finish than most boxes. Seals work really well and keep my contents dry. I would recommend this product to others. I would also like to note that this was my first purchase from etrailer and was a little nervous when ordering. etrailer was great and George kept me in the loop via phone and emails each step of the way.
