Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the re-install kit for your Stay-N-Play duo supplemental braking system. So if you happen to be changing to a different vehicle to tow with, or maybe you're getting an additional vehicle for your Armada while you're out on the road, you want to have multiple vehicles to tow with, but you still want to be able to utilize your Stay-N-Play system, this is going to be the kit for you. It's going to give you all the pieces that would have been consumed in the install for your first one, or that might be worn, so you want to have a new fresh one for your new vehicle, like your breakaway switch that is going to come with the kit. This is going to be that component that brings our vehicle to a stop in the event of an accidental disconnect. It'd pull that cable, pull out the plunger and apply the brakes in our towed.
The wiring coming off the back there will also have our indicator light. That mounts to the back of your rear view mirror, or somewhere on your dash so that you can have a visible indicator that the brakes are being applied in your towed vehicle. We also have a length of quarter inch air tubing. That goes from your control box to your actuator. We'll also have some new clamps, the check valve T, and unions for our vacuum line. There should have been a lot of vacuum line in your original kit, so hopefully you still have that to work with, and be able to connect into your new brakes on the new vacuum line on your new vehicle because this does not come with any vacuum line.
It is sold separately as a replacement part if you do happen to need some, or you can also fix them up at your local hardware store. But again in that original camp they usually provide you with more than enough vacuum hose to get that whole thing installed. We'll also get some ground wires and just lines of white wire, a fuse holder with 20 amp fuse, some ring terminals, butt connectors, that little T, or tri-butt connector. These are going to be two single diodes; they include these in case your braking, or your wiring isn't protected by a diode, so that would be your tow bar wiring. Most kits these days are going to have a diode already in place. We always suggest you get a diode system for that tow bar wiring, but if you happen to have a situation where there is no diode, these are diodes to put in that connection.
There are instructions on how to do that in your original kit. So, like I said, it's more than likely your vehicle will already have the diode wiring. If you have the tow bar wiring kit. A lot of those are available here at etrailer.com so definitely check them out if you don't already have it for your vehicle. Some zip ties here we can tidy it up, and some quick splice connectors. We'll also have two self-tapping screws to bolt down this little bracket.
This is for your cable anchor coming off of your brake actuator. So it provides a more stable point to mount that if the firewalls too thin, or if you have kind of a funky angle, it can help to make that a little bit easier, and you will need to use that self-tapping screw to anchor that down from the original. This hardware is going to be for our breakaway switch, so hopefully that kind of recovers everything here on what it is and where it's going to go. So the things that you'll need to reuse from your original kit will be the actuator, the control unit, the G-Force unit, and any indicator that you might've had in your RV.So that's pretty much all you'll need to transfer from one to the other. You'll also need the cable going between your safety chain loops and the front of your breakaway switch, and also the wiring connection from your towed vehicle to your RV. That's usually sold separately anyway. So, all those things are what will be reusable for this kit. Again, this comes with everything you see laid on the table. The part number that this works with is going to be SM99251. The Stay-N-Play duo system. This is made in the U.S.A. That's going to do it for this video. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if it's going to be the right kit for you. If not, let us know, and we'll hopefully answer any questions that you might have. Thanks for watching.

Complete kit allows you to remove the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo supplemental braking system from your current towed vehicle and reinstall it in another vehicle.Great products! We got this because we bought a new toad vehicle and removed the old braking system to save money.
Wanted to take the Stay-in-play out of the Equinox I was trading for a Jeep Wrangler. This worked perfectly and I'm a happy camper. Even at 72 I was able to complete the exchange myself without assistance
All the replacement parts were there.
Great kit for reinstalltion of the Demco SBS. All parts and hardware for restall.
I did not include vacuum hose that is needed for assembly. No wire to complete job. I also did not need another breakaway switch. Best to forgo the kit and buy what you need to do the job.
Excellent product and customer service, the last kit was purchased close to 35 years ago when we first began flat towing. Was still working fine. The reason for purchasing the new reinstall kit was to set up my new Jeep Wrangler.
All the components were included making it a breeze to reinstall braking system in my Colorado pickup
After some confusion pertaining to delays in receiving the part(s) from the supplier, "etrailer " went the extra mile to make everything work out favorably. Thanks for great customer service.
