Today we're going to review part number C58200. This is the Curt 4-way Flat Wiring Connector Cover. Now this cover is made to cover your 4-way flat connector. It is made of a flexible rubber. It helps prevent rust and corrosion and prevents any damage to the terminals of your 4-way. This is designed to be used on the vehicle end 4-way and I'm going to show you one of those in a minute here, show you how this works.
This part number would be for a quantity of one. Here's an example. I pulled a 4-way vehicle end and the reason this is a vehicle end 4-way is because if you'll notice three of the terminals have the rubber covering them and the ground terminal is exposed. The reason this cap is designed to use on the vehicle end is because if you look on the inside of it, there's an area for the three terminals that have the rubber around it to clear and then on the very end there's a round circle that fits on that exposed ground. When you go to install this, you'll just go ahead and slide this over the 4-way. Go ahead and pull it all the way down and you could actually just leave it on like that and when you're using this, plug in your trailer and use it like that. When you're done trailering 00:01:11, just unplug it.
Take your cap, just swing it over, put it right over and it closes completely over the terminals. Then that way when you're not using it, that won't be dragging down and damaging the terminals or any elements getting to the terminals. Then just pop it off, just pop it off like that and if you want to remove it, you can just pull it off the 4-way like that. That should do it for the review on part number C58200, the Curt 4-way Flat Wiring Connector Cover. .

This does not seal very well, Its loose not a tight fit. I bought a 4 way to 7 way plug and the 4 way on that had a nice hard plastic tight fit cover plug that came with the assm.

The Curt 4-Way Flat Wiring Connector Cover is exactly what I was looking to find as a replacement for the lost cover on my trailer wiring connection. The Curt cover is designed to slip easily over the male connector and seal out dust, dirt and water with the snug-fitting cap. The cover is flexible rubber and is well made.

I’m no stranger to etrailer, a few years back I found you folks and ordered a hitch for my 2009 Hyundai SantaFe the installation was extremely easy. Your installation tutorials from Ryan are spot on. The trailer light assembly installation went just as easy. So it was without hesitation I ordered a trailer hitch and light assembly for my new 2022 Subaru Ascent. Once again a super clear,well explained installation tutorial.You folks are the BEST when it comes to after market trailer hitches.
Also, for some reason the new flat plug light assembly did not have a debris cover. You folks sent me out 2 covers lickity split. Thank you etrailer for being the best,friendliest,professional, aftermarket trailer product company out there!!!!

It initially fit okay. It is not a snug as I had hoped. Now after a year I use a velcro tie to keep it on.

I gave this five stars because it's probably perfectly fine for what it is intended. However, I accidentally bought the wrong thing. This cover is meant for the vehicle side, and it's probably fine for that, but I had meant to get a cover for the plug on the trailer side like this https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Accessories_and_Parts-pc-Connector_Covers.aspx. Nonetheless, this cover still works on the trailer side -- it's just a little loose.
As to etrailer, I've bought several things from them and they always get 5 stars plus.

This is actually universal for the vehicle and trailer side. If you want to try a different 4 pole dust cover maybe part # C58761 would fit a bit better.

This was a quick and inexpensive way to install a permanent 3-way plug on my towed vehicle. Allows wiring to be hidden out of the way and the rubber connector cover keeps dirt out of the plug.

The "etrailer" print on the cover is not white but instead black which blends in with the background. Since I already have the trailer hitch receiver that says etrailer, it would've been nice for it all to match.

The white etrailer logo displayed in the pictures is actually a small sticker we use as a sort of watermark for our product photos. The connector cover is produced by Curt MFG and has their logo molded into it.

the electric plug cover is fine it could be a little longer so when you rap it around the hitch to hold it there it is easier to plug over the plug to cover it.

Connector covers (2) and cover w/LED tester work as advertised. A little dab of dielectric grease on the connectors PLUS these covers is all you'll need to keep corrosion and bugs out of your trailer connectors. Just plug-up and go............no wire brushing and trying to get a good connection due to corrosion. Can't beat them.
