5-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Honda Pilot

My trailer requires 5 wires flat with the 5th being backup lights. Is there a harness and/or adaptor for this for 2012 Honda Pilot? Thanks

If your Pilot came from the factory with a 7-way trailer connector, you would simply need an adapter like part # A75TB. The adapter would plug into the 7-way, and the 5-pole from the trailer would plug into the adapter.

If your Pilot did not come from the factory with a trailer connector, you have two alternatives. You can install a 7-way, part # 118558 and use the adapter mentioned above. This would be a plug-and-play install, very simple.

If you wanted to avoid using the adapter, you can install part # 119177KIT. The installation would be more involved, because the connector would need to be hardwired into the vehicle, but you would not need an adapter if you went that route.

The # 118265 harness you mentioned is a replacement for the OEM harness, and would not be appropriate if your Pilot did not come from the factory with a trailer connector.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.

Thanks for the pictures but no, the EX2700 tonneau cover that the #EX1700 fits is for a 2004-15 Nissan Titan 6' 7" Bed. The one previously mentioned #EX1770 is for your truck, so it'd for sure work if you have the 2770 tonneau cover.
