Choosing the right height setting for your 5th wheel hitch is a combination of a few different variables.
First of all you want your towing setup to be as level as possible. With your Montana High Country 340BH level you will want to measure from the ground to the bottom of your pin box where the king pin is at. The next step is to choose which of the 3 height settings on your 5th wheel hitch, 17", 18" or 19", gives you the most level ride. Simply measure from the ground to the head unit of your 5th wheel hitch to determine which option fits best.
Keep in mind that we recommend having at least 5-6" of space between the bed rails on your truck and your trailer to ensure no contact between the two (see attached photo).
If that does not allow you to level your towing setup then you can try combining the adjustment settings on your pin box with the settings on your 5th wheel hitch to see it that will allow you to have a level towing setup.
