Do you need to drill any holes with this hitch? I understand that the skid plate needs to be modified. Thanks

When installing the CURT Front Mount Receiver, # 31180, on a 2006 Toyota Tundra, you will need to drill a total of two 1/2 inch holes. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.

The other hitch we have for your truck, # 65031, also requires drilling. I have included a link to the instructions for this hitch as well and a link to a video showing a typical installation.

For the Draw-Tite front mount hitch, #65031, the skid plate will have to be permanently removed to install the hitch. You would also need to drill two holes in the frame rails (one on each side for the rear most hitch attachment points). I have…
