Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this RC Manufacturing Z-Series truck or trailer steel underbody toolbox. Now, this locking toolbox mounts to the underbody of your truck or trailer to provide secure storage, and this is a great idea for flatbed trucks, dump trucks, or trailers, and this drop-down door provides easy access to cargo space. The dimensions of the opening here of our toolbox, we're sitting right at about 20 inches long by 10 inches tall. This has an inside capacity of 3.1 cubic feet, so I was able collect a few items here just to kinda give you an idea of what 3.1 cubic feet looks like and how it can be used. So I got a pretty big drill box there, and then I'm just gonna throw some smaller items on top. Again, very easy to get into that storage space.

So hopefully, that kinda gives you an idea of how much space that you have and how much you can fit in there. And I think there's quite a bit of space in here for 3.1 cubic feet, you're gonna be able to make a lot of use of that, and what's great about this, it's all usable space inside of that box, you've got nothing in there that's going to take up any storage space there. So these retainer chains keep the door from opening a full 90 degrees and beyond, those chains are removable, and I even think that you could adjust the chains if you wanted them to open the door not as far, so just be mindful of that, but those chains are removable, so if you need to take those chains off for a second to put in something a little bit larger than what these chains will allow for, that's gonna be easily done with these clips here. Now, there's also a weatherproof neoprene seal and seamless corners, all that is going to work together to protect your gear from the elements, keeping it dry. And this has a locking flush-mounted T-handle, it does come with two keys, so I'm gonna push that handle in and go ahead and lock this, and so, the contents will be safe and secure, and as you can see, that handle is indeed flush-mounted, so you're not gonna have to worry about anything getting caught on that handle.

And again, very easy operation, the key works great, and you just turn that handle, and you can have access once again to the inside of your toolbox. Now, this is made in the USA, and it features heavy-duty steel construction with this rust-resistant black powder coat finish, and this does weigh about 64 pounds, and the overall measurements is gonna be 24 inches long by 16 inches wide and 14 inches tall. Instructions on how to install this are included. This does not include mounting brackets, but if you take a look on our website, item number 350998, it's gonna take you to a pair of underbed toolbox mounting brackets that are going to work with this box to help you mount it securely underneath your trailer for instance, and you would need to purchase that separately if you do not already have mounting hardware for a box like this.
