Replacement Hardware for a Reese Trailer Hitch for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe
Question:
what size bolts are required to mount a reese hitch on a 2005 chev tahoe

Expert Reply:
If you have Reese hitch 44668 for your 2005 Chevy Tahoe then it is the same as Draw-Tite hitch # 75725 and uses multiple bolt sizes. It uses two Carriage Bolts 1/2"-13 X 1.75 GR 5 and four Hex Bolt M14 X 2.00 X 40mm CL 10.9. It also takes four lock washers, four flat washers, two block spacers, two conical tooth washers, and two 1/2"-13 hex nuts.
If you have 37152 or 37136 it uses four 1/2 inch carriage bolts, four 1/2 inch flat washers, four 1/2 inch lock washers, four block spacers, and four 1/2 inch hex nuts to mount to the vehicle frame.
If you need all new hardware then you can get all the correct hardware for a hitch using # RHK. Just enter the manufacturer and hitch number where indicated on the RHK page and the proper hardware will be assembled and it will all be the right grade and appropriately rated for the selected hitch.
