Recommended Hitch for a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander

Question:

Do you have a hitch for a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander?

Yes, we do. To add a hitch to your 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C26VV. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Toyota with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 500 lbs maximum tongue weight.

I really like this hitch because the entire crosstube mounts behind the rear bumper. This leaves only the 2" receiver exposed which not only looks better but helps with ground clearance.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C59236 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.

@Oliver Yes, it does! I checked with Curt and their item # C26VV hitch is confirmed to fit the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Max.

@JerredH How does the receiver protrude thru the OEM bumper? It seems the bumper would require modification.

@ChrisM It doesn't. The Curt Hitch item # C26VV sticks out below the bumper.

Does this hitch interfere with the kick bumper feature that opens the rear hatch.

@JimmyR No it does not! We've sold a few of these and have heard back from some of our customers that have said the Curt Hitch item # C26VV does not affect the functionality of the kick sensor. Now we haven't had a chance to check it ourselves but hat typically happens in situations like this is you lose the sensor right around the 2" receiver which isn't a problem because you don't want to be kicking towards it anyways and you have to go to the left or right.
