Hitch fit perfect and installs easily. Only thing I don't like is the part you attach the safety chains to is very thick so not all the chains fit on it. But I'm sure that was done for strength.

by:

We haven't used the hitch too many times, but it's worked great when we have. Before I installed it, I painted over the corners, as well as added silicone in the gaps where pieces meet & there wasn't a weld... just for added corrosion protection. No complaints, as it's just a hitch and works as such.

Great hitch! It was easy to install and does the job perfectly!

2004 Cadillac Escalade

So Happy with this Curt Custom Heavy Duty Class V Receiver Hitch.
Fits Perfectly behind my plastic bumper on my 2004 Cadillac Escalade EXT.
It looks factory installed. Definitely more stout in construction than the OEM
that came off. OEM receiver hitch was rated for 5000 pounds, this Curt is rated for 17000 pounds, Big Difference. Took me by my self less than 1 hour to install. I used the Curt supplied bolts and factory bolts per instructions. I had the factory trailer light receptacle trimmed and tack welded to the Curt Hitch. I have a large boat and now confident in this heavy duty hitch. Thanks etrailer here are some pictures

The Curt class V hitch still performing in an excellent manner. This solid hitch has handled my boat with ease. After inspection and one years use, the welds remain intact with no corrosion or paint delamination. Still very happy I replaced the factory hitch with this hitch. Follow manufacturers max tow rating for your vehicle for safety.

2006 Chevrolet Suburban

Best price and best quality. This hitch has paid for itself 10 fold.

by:

Excellent product. Super easy to install. Came with all mounting hardware and arrived quickly. Strongly recommend etrailer for your needs.

by:

Replaced the factory rusty hitch with this heavier duty one. Easy to install, however receiver does sit about 1-1/2” higher than the factory one. Pulling my 29’ travel trailer feels more stable, not sure if it’s because the receiver is higher or it’s just a sturdier hitch.

by:
2003 Chevrolet Tahoe

The product fit as described with minimal effort on my 03 Tahoe. I did however reuse the bolts I took out of my existing hitch due to they where bigger in diameter than what whas provided. Very impressed overall and highly satisfied with the whole process. I am a first time customer and will be passing the name along for sure!

by:
2004 Ram 3500

Fit perfectly on my 04 Suburban 1500. Fantastic upgrade from the 3500 lb universal one that a previous owner had installed. Considerable overkill for my truck, but I like that.

by:

Everything fit good and work without pr oblems

by:

Very nice and heavy duty hitch. Install was no problem. Installed on 2003 gmc yukon xl denali in about an hour. Replaced a original rusted out hitch. I have denali trim package so rear bumper cover may protrude a bit...no big deal. If you have regular yukon should be fine.

by:

This hitch fits great and I didn't have to remove the spare tire. Easy installation.

by:
2002 Chevrolet Suburban

Shipped quick, good price, well made. I installed this on a 2002 Avalanche 2500 with plastic cladding. There was some minor trimming required on the plastic(Dremel to the rescue).
You will need to attach the bracket from factory hitch,or add a bracket for trailer connector. It took longer to trim the plastic than it it did to install the hitch. The hitch fits like glove once trimmed, and is 80%hidden.
Factory hitch has been known to fail, due to design and wall thickness in my opinion.
The Curt class V hitch has a much thicker wall thickness and it's a square tube design rated much higher than factory for tongue weight and overall towing ability.I tow a 34 foot toyhauler that was at the limit of factory hitch, this hitch is rated 5000lbs heavier than oem and it shows once you compare the two.

by:
2004 Chevrolet Tahoe

I bought this hitch after realizing the stock hitch on my 2004 Tahoe was undersized for my trailer. This one is rated way higher than my truck will ever be able to haul; but on towing devices, overkill isn't a bad thing. This hitch is extremely beefy, way heavier than the stock hitch. It was very easy to bolt up due to the access holes in the Tahoe frame. Removing the spare isn't necessary, but it does make access easier. The quality of the welds, paint, fitment, and even hardware is exceptional. And as always, etrailer's customer service is next to none.

by:
2003 GMC Yukon XL

After I realized that I was towing a boat and trailer that was almost twice the rating of my original hitch, I decided to update to the Curt Class V. The hitch is much heavier and it is very well made. The installation was very easy and all the hardware fit perfectly. I decided to move my trailer connector into the bumper at the same time.

I now have the confidence to tow my boat anywhere without worry.

etrailer had the best price and the fastest shipping. I have always had great service with them

by:
2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Much heavier duty than the OEM one and appears to be well made with quality coating. It should not bend like the OEM did (why I upgraded to this beast). Was a snug fit between the rear crossmember on a 05 2500 Suburban, but easy to wedge up in there using a floor jack. The hitch sits around 2” higher than the OEM so will need to Adjust all the hitches accordingly. Only complaint is lack of integrated bracket for the trailer wiring otherwise would have been 5 stars.

by:
2005 Chevrolet Suburban

I personally feel that CURT hitches are one of the best on the market. I bought the CURT class 5 hitch and it exceeded all my expectations. It takes alot to impress me and this truly did. The quality of the material, the construction and the fit and finish were perfect. With air tools, 15 minutes at most, to install. Now as far as Etrailer. Their price was the best which included fast free shipping. I Would highly recommend, if you need trailer hitches or any trailer accessories, don't look anywhere else

by:

I realize this not the first time I’ve ordered from etrailer
And using the fitment tool has always got me an exact match for my needs. Its been Chevy Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado. Each time has been easy bolt on. Nothing to fear. This last time I wore out the Tahoe’s factory receiver with my travel trailer so I installed the Curt XD
xx lbs rated. Beautiful clean match. Thank You !

by:
2003 Cadillac Escalade

I made the mistake and ordered this hitch off Amazon to get it sooner. The bolt holes were about 1/4” off and it wouldn’t fit. Needless to say I had to send it back and got one here like I should have in the first place. It fit perfect without a hitch. I couldn’t help it.

by:

excellent hitch, fast shipping and glad I upgraded. I have had this for a year now and does everything I need it to.
Note: I installed this on a 2007 Avalanche and it is not supposed to fit. I did some research and all 6 frame bolts line up perfectly and fits well, noting that I did have to trim my rear facia to make it fit. Since the factory steel that is under the rear facia was already rotted out like the factory hitch from rust, it fits perfectly if not a few inches higher than the factory hitch - even better! I highly recommend to anyone that wants to upgrade from that factory class 3 tubular junk that is likely already rusted and starting to sag, go for this and if you have an Avalanche, it will fit if you don't mind a little triming of your facia. From the picutre, OK my trimming was not perfect, will groom this later, but you get the point. Also you will notice I did drill out for the plug socket up high, this was frankly the hardest part of the install. And yes my factory frame rails are excellent with no rust.
One more thing, Curt supplied all the new bolts which I torqued to thier instructions.

by:

Used this to replace the factory hitch on my 2004 Tahoe. Original was extremely rusty and wanted peace of mind that my hitch was sound. The new hitch is way more robust than the factory. As always impressed with etrailer’s customer service.

I've installed several hitches over the years, but the Curt XD is the nicest hitch I have seen. Quality welds, heavy construction and nice finish. You can't go wrong with this one.

I bought this hitch to replace my factory hitch after it was damaged when i backed into a concrete pole. This hitch is much better than the factory hitch. It looks really nice. It was really easy to install with easy to read instructions. I am very happy with it. I have confidence that i can tow a decent amount of weight.

  • Mounting Measurements of Curt Hitch # C15324
I'm not exactly sure between which points you want the measurement taken of the Curt hitch, part # C15324, so I took a few. On the mounting plates, outside to outside is 41 inches, inside to inside is 36-1/2 inches, and the bolt holes are 39-11/16 inches center on center. If you need a different measurement taken just let me know. The hitch is designed to fit the Cadiallac Escalade and Escalade EXT, the Chevy Suburban, Tahoe, and Avalanche, as well as the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. All...

I recommend pairing the Curt Trailer Hitch # C15324 with the wiring # C59496 for your 2004 GMC Yukon XL. The wiring is for the basic trailer lighting functions which includes trailer brake lights. Please note that the hitch (or any hitch for your vehicle) will not fit if you have the EPA canister mounted on the passenger side frame rail. The last thing you need to complete your towing setup is a ball mount and for that I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it includes...

Take a look at the diagram I provided, which shows the bolt sizes included with the hitch.
