Can Slipper Springs be Used in Place of Double-Eye Leaf Springs on a Trailer

want to add new fenders with existing hangers. can existing hangers be used by attaching front of slipper spring onto front existing hanger with bolt and nut then secure rear slipper into rear hanger using a bolt and nut to hold slipper in hanger

If the trailer currently uses double-eye spring suspension then you will want to use slipper spring hangers if you want to switch spring types. Double-eye hangers would not work in the manner you have described because the shackle bolts are not large enough in diameter. I have included a link to the slipper spring hangers that we offer.
