Video Transcript for Titan Trailer Brakes T1062200 Review

Today we're gonna take a look at the Titan 17 inch long steel brake line tubing. Brake lines is what'll let you run fluid from your brake actuator to your trailer breaks. This tubing is designed for use with hydraulic brake systems. This is a copper plated steel with a ProCoat 2000 finish over it for corrosion resistance. They do use a Bundy welding process which ensures greater rigidity for high pressure applications. If you look on the ends these brake lines are double flared steel construction.

And if you'll notice, each end has this brass swivel fitting for easier installation. And on the fittings they have deep threads on them to help improve the connection to help prevent any leaks. The length on this tubing is 17 inches long, and the diameter is 3/16ths of an inch. That should do it for the review on the Titan 17 inch long steel brake line tubing.

  • Plumbling Hydraulic Brake Lines for Tri Axle Boat Trailer
Although I don't have a diagram for a tri-axle trailer, I do have one for a tandem. If you refer to the photo, you would plumb the brake lines as shown, but would add the additional lines and tees for an extra axle. Here's the part numbers of the items shown in the photo. (A) 12-27/32" Long flexible hose ( # T0777300) (B) 18-25/32" Long flexible hoses ( # T0776500) (C)19' Long steel line ( # T4336000) (D) 66" Long steel lines ( # T1086600) (E) 30" Long steel line (...

  • Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator and Parts to Add Disc Brakes to Third Trailer Axle
Sounds like you have a surge brake coupler on your trailer currently and are looking for a way to convert it to an electric over hydraulic setup and then also add brakes to your third axle. The electric over hydraulic actuator I like the best is the Cargo Towing Solutions HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HBA16. This actuator has proven to be very reliable and rarely has problems. The Kodiak 225 caliper that you have on your other axles is a very common caliper that...

  • Can Titan 17 Inch Long Brake Line # T1062200 Be Straightened
It can certainly be straightened out. Like any piece of metal tubing, if its repeatedly bent and straightened, it'll eventually succumb to metal fatigue and break. If you straighten it and installed it, then leave it be, it'll be fine. Just take care that the line doesn't kink when straightening it.

  • Available Brake Line Kits and Individual Steel Brake Line Parts
All of our trailer brake line kits and individual brake line parts are shown on the linked page. These come from the manufacturers already fabricated with specific lengths and fittings. Both steel and flexible brake lines are shown. The items nearest to your requirements are the 66-inch Titan part # T1086600 which has 3/16-inch male swivel fittings on both ends as shown in the linked video. We also have a 17-inch line, part # T1062200 and 30-inch # T1061900 and 20-inch # DMSB520 from Demco.

  • Parts Needed to Add Disc Brakes to Third Axle to Use Titan Disc Brake Kit with Triple Axle Trailer
You can add the parts needed to make Titan disc brake kit # T4843800 compatible with a 3-axle trailer. If you do I recommend placing the actuator as close to the axles as you can. You may also need to use larger diameter brake line especially if you have to leave the actuator closer to the front of the trailer. As for the parts you would need: 1 disc brake kit # K2HR35D 2 of bearing # L68149 2 of bearing # L44649 1 of seal set # RG06-050 2 of flexible hose # T0776500 2 of tee # T0778500 2...
