Video Transcript for Titan Trailer Brakes T1086600 Review

Today we're going to look at the Titan 66" Long Steel Brake Line Tubing. Now this tubing is designed for use with hydraulic brake systems. They use a copper-plated steel with a Procoat 2000 finish for corrosion resistance. It does use a bundy welding process, which ensures greater rigidity for high-pressure applications. On each end you can see they used the brass, male swivel flare nut fittings on both ends. These swivels will allow the flare fittings to turn without the hose twisting.

They do use deep threads on it to improve the connection to help prevent any leaks. Now the total length on this tubing is 66", the diameter of the tubing is 3/16", and the fitting size on each end is 3/16, and the thread size is 3/8" by 24 threads per inch. That should do it for the review on the Titan 66" Long Steel Brake Line Tubing.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Hydraulic Brakes Locking Up
It sounds like your husband had to cut a hydraulic brake line to free-up your trailer's locked brakes. Causes for this kind of issue could be anything from a bad master cylinder in your actuator/coupler, to a blockage in one of the brake lines, to damaged/rusted brake assemblies, or to the brake fluid deteriorating. A 12-year-old trailer, even if used gently and stored properly in the off-season, could have by now developed any of the above problems. Trailer brakes should be bled and...

  • What Portion of Trailer Brake Line Has to be A Hard Line Vs. Flexible Line
The only place you really need a flexible brake line is when you go from the frame of the trailer to the axle since the suspension allows movement there. Aside from that you can use all hard lines if you want since there won't be any movement anywhere else.

  • Plumbling Hydraulic Brake Lines for Tri Axle Boat Trailer
Although I don't have a diagram for a tri-axle trailer, I do have one for a tandem. If you refer to the photo, you would plumb the brake lines as shown, but would add the additional lines and tees for an extra axle. Here's the part numbers of the items shown in the photo. We have trailer hydraulic brake line that measures 42 inches in length but it is not steel. It is a flexible rubber that will easily handle the hydraulic pressure. For that you would want the part # BH-3MFS-3-5.

  • Troubleshooting EOH Horse Trailer Brakes That Stay Engaged When Brake Pedal is Released
Since you have replaced your brake assemblies and flexible brake lines, and have bled the system, the sticking brakes on your horse trailer are most likely caused by the electric-over-hydraulic actuator itself or its main steel brake line. It is possible that the actuator is damaged and is not allowing the brake pressure to back off when you stop pressing the pedal. It is also possible that there could be a bit of foreign material in the main steel brake line (rust is most likely) that...
