  • Combined Trailer Turn Signal and Side Marker Running Light for a Trailer with no Side Markers
    On a trailer, the turn signals and brake lights are combined. So if you where to wire in a side marker light but also wanted to have it light up with the running lights, it would end up lighting up with the brakes as well. You can use the Optronics light, # STL90A24B, for this purpose. The White wire would ground to the trailer frame, the red wire would connect to the trailer wire carrying the turn and brake lights. The last wire would connect to the running light circuit.

    If you just wanted the Transit Turn Signal and Parking Light part # STL90A24B to act as a turn signal then you would only need to use two of the wires, not combine the red and black like you mentioned. The white wire is for the ground and will need to be attached to a bare metal surface. The red wire would then be attached to the turn signal circuit on your RV. The black wire would not be used in your application. Please keep in mind that the above is an LED light which draws much less...
