Installed in my 2024 Chevy Trax. I ran the wire harness up through the front fender, and along the DS rocker panel. No drilling into body required. However, I purchased extra loom to better protect exposed wires next to body. Additionally, I purchased extra wire to support the DS to PS taillight connections. Finally, be advised the plastic taillight assemply is "double hulled," so once you bore through the exterior of the assembly, you will need to drill again, into the lense. On this point, and to ensure a good fit of the bulb socket, a Dremel tool was used to grind down the plastic surface, to ensure a good flat and tight fit. Finally, I used the first cut-out to fashion a cap and to seal the light socket installation. See pic.

I am very happy with this kit. It gives you everything you need to setup an independent brake light system for you toad and therefore bypassing the vehicles internal wiring and computers. I went with this setup as I did not want to complicate my wiring or damage the internal systems of the toad. IT takes sometime to install, but once done hooking up and running the system is simple as plugging in your 7way connector. Combine this with a onboard braking system, and you have the perfect system to pull your two vehicle behind your RV.

They do work, but for what they are and the materials included, they are WAYYYY more expensive than they need to be. I’d say $xx max on the LED tail light wiring kit, since it’s just two LED bulbs and sockets and some wire & bits and pieces. I bought them figuring I should rely on Roadmaster expertise on manufacturing something that is better than what I could put together, but now that I’ve installed all the items, I think I could have just bought the parts and assembled them to work better than these items.

by:

Easy directions and I did it in conjunction with installing the baseplate.

This is an outstanding company. They are truly customer oriented. A special shout out to Lori B who walked me through my order and was great about follow up. This is why E trailer is what it is.

  • LED Bulb & Socket Tow Bar Wiring Compatibility With 2020 Ram 2500
When wiring in the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit w/ 7-Way to 6-Wire Connector - LED Bulb and Socket - Red Item # RM-152-LED-7 you'll want to place the bulbs in the red portion of the tail lights. Without seeing your tail light assembly fully taken apart to know where you'll have enough clearance in the red portion of the lights it's hard to say a specific spot will work. The LED bulb is going to stick into the light assembly 2" so as long as you have that amount of space it should be fine.

  • Tow Bar Wiring Kit for 2019 Ford F-250 King Ranch Edition with LEDs Around Tail Lights
I did take a look at the tail lights that come on the Ford F-250 King Ranch edition and I can see what you're referring to with the LED lights. When installing the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit # RM-152-LED-7 you need enough space to drill a 1" diameter hole in each of the tail light housings. If you don't have the room inside the tail light housing because of additional LED lights around the lenses, you may need to switch from a bulb and socket kit to a diode kit like the # RM-15267....

  • Can Bulb and Socket Flat Tow Wiring Fit a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport
The Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-LED requires a 1" hole to install the bulbs into the tail light housing. It does look like you're limited on spacing inside your housing and when I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster he confirmed that we need to go with a different tail light kit for your setup. I would be happy to help you find a wiring harness for your Ford Bronco Badlands but I recommend going with the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267 over both of your options.
