Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement LED bulb and socket kit. This replaces the LED bulb and sockets for your Roadmaster LED bulb and socket kit part number RM-152-LED.These are genuine direct replacement parts and what you get is what's laid out here on the table. So you get two LED bulbs. They sit in a J socket and both sockets are included, both bulbs are included and then attached to the housing right here is your wiring. The black wire's your ground wire, the brown wire is for the tail lights, red wire is for stop and turn. So I'll go ahead and ...
I've got one hooked up to power. I'll show you what that looks like, turn off the overhead lights. That would be the tail light function of that light and then when you apply the brakes, see how that signal output increases and it'll do that same thing when the turn signals are activated.That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement LED bulb and socket kit. Again, this is a replacement for the Roadmaster LED bulb and socket kit part number RM-152-LED.

Order arrived on time. Installed Roadmaster RM-152-2 led and lamp socket kit. Did research ahead of time to see if product would fit since I had to drill 1" holes in tail light housing assembly. Have a new 2019 Chevy Blazer RS which the manufacturer and etrailer have not done an install on yet. I taped a 1" diameter by 3/4" high socket to the location I thought would clear wheel well area behind the tail light assembly, the existing brake-turn bulb, and not come within a 1/4" of the tail light plastic lens. I pushed the assembly back into the factory location and used a small flashlight to check clearance with the socket and wheel well. Looked good so I pulled the assembly back out and carefully pulled up the ends of the tape. While holding the socket, I used a correction pen to draw around the outside of the socket. With the nice white ring in place, I drilled an 1/8" pilot hole in the center of the circle and then the 1" inch mounting hole with a hole saw. I spread the prongs around the lamp base and installed snugly in the hole. Had no interference or clearance problems. Follow the 6 p rule (Proper Planning Prevents P... Poor Performance) and be a happy RVer like me. There were no installation instructions included with the kit. They will need to be downloaded from the Roadmaster web site and etrailer doesn't supply them with the kit. Length and other specs are available on Roadmaster web site as well. Don't know how a customer is supposed to install a product without instructions and hence 4 star. Easily could have been 5.

I’m in the process of installing these on a 2000 Honda CRV. I already drilled out the taillight and put them inside the casing. I even tested the lights with a spare battery I have on my workbench. They appear to be plenty bright enough to see in full daylight, and since they are independent of the vehicle’s light they shouldn’t wear down the battery. With the current COVID-19 lock down I haven’t been in a hurry to get these finished, however I should be done by the end of this week. (Also installing a base plate and toad vehicle brake system). I hope to be ready to start camping once the restrictions end. Everyone please stay healthy!

Working fine since install, just not as bright as I thought they would be in bright daylight. However they are sufficient. Not quite as bright as OEM brake lights.

These bulbs burnt out within one year. I was surprised and checked all wiring and connections everything was wired properly. Put cheap everyday type bulbs and they work fine. Still have the l e d bulbs if you want them back. Other than that the wiring kit was very good.

It is uncommon for LED bulbs to burn out so quickly. Replacement bulbs are available from Roadmaster with part # RM-300066-10.

The package arrived without any damage. Installing the sockets went very well. I drilled the one inch hole into the bottom of the rear lamp housing in our 2019 Chevy Colorado. The sockets popped right in. I had installed the wiring a few days ago which is along the frame rail. I did locate the wiring instructions that was taped to the back of the card that held the lamps and sockets. For me the instructions were not needed, however for someone not sure of what wire does what it is a good thing to have. I would recommend this kit if you already have wiring installed. If you don't have wiring installed then you should purchase the entire kit. I have incandescent bulbs from the factory, which made this install easy to not affect those bulbs or the housing. If you have an LED housing then you should contact etrailer to make sure this kit will work for you. I also like having the bulbs inside of the housing. I just have to hook up the connector from the Colorado to the connector on our motorhome, check everything and we're ready to go.

The bulb type that is used is indeed an 1157 so there would be different intensities based on if the stop or tail lights were activated. This part # RM-152-2 only includes the bulbs and sockets and is intended as a replacement part for the entire installation kit, part # RM-152-LED. The larger kit includes the bulbs and sockets, a 27 foot four-wire electrical harness, butt connectors, a self-tapping screw, wire ties, and wire loom, as well as installation instructions. I have attached the installation instructions here for your convenience.
