According to Blue Ox, the # BX1956 base plate kit you'd looked at is compatible with turbocharged models of the 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser. For a tow bar, the Blue Ox Alpha 2, part # BX7380 would be an excellent choice. The tow bar is non binding, so it won't lock up when you're trying to unhook the vehicle from the tow bar. The Alpha 2 is also self centering, which means you won't have to have the vehicle perfectly lined up behind the motorhome in order to hook up. Safety cables are included.

To wire the vehicle for towing, I'd recommend a bulb and socket kit like # RM-152-LED-7. For a supplemental braking system, I'd go with a portable system like the BrakeBuddy 3 # HM39494. With a portable system, you won't need the expensive and time consuming installation that a permanently mounted system would require.

Finally, if the installed height of your base plates is more than 3 inches higher or lower than the receiver height on the motorhome, you'll need a high/low adapter to bring it within that range.
