I suggest the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System, # SM99243. This will provide a fully proportional braking system that never needs to be removed from your truck. The actuator will install out of sight and will automatically function when RV and towed truck are connected. I have attached a review video below.

If you need the other items, tow bar, base plate, etc. for flat towing your 2017 Ram 1500 I suggest the following:

Base Plate, # DM9517335. This is a confirmed fit for the 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn Trim Level. It is a custom fit, simple installation, no welding required and compatible with all Demco tow-bars. Product review and installation video is linked below.

Tow Bar, Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar - Victory Series - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,500 lbs., # DM9511013 (needed safety cables included). This has self-aligning independent arms with trigger releases that make it easy to connect and disconnect.

Wiring, either the # RM-152-LED kit or the # RM-152-LED-7 whichever is best matched to your motorhome.
