Installed this unit in about an hour. True plug and play!! I had to use different holes in the bracket inside, but fit perfect. The only challenge I had for being 63 years old is getting it on the roof and the old unit down. The John Deere with front end loader with forks and a pallet did the trick! Thanks to my wife who is always ready to dial 911!! Thanks to Alyssa J for your help with the purchase. Also, the Dometic distribution box and thermostat worked with the Furrion.

by:

Package showed up earlier than expected. Packing was right and no damage from shipping. The extra box for wiring harness, metal brackets, and mounting bolts was complete. I haven't installed yet. This was just a review on proper packing, no damages, completeness of all components. Great job!

The unit function is stellar blows cold, my only complaint would be Furrion needs to design a better air distribution box.

by:

The air conditioner was shipped very fast. Received the unit two days before the original shipment date. The serviceman installed the unit and it is working fine. Only thing the fed-ex ship in on the side of the box and placed the unit in my shed upside down because your shipping department didn’t tape the bottom of the box that can damage a air conditioner!! Time Will tell!! Thank you Kelly for everything!!! Eddie Paparo

by:

Thank you Arthur for helping with getting all of the necessary parts needed to replace my AC. The parts came quickly to my site and I'm good condition.

by:

Excellent unit!! Cools the camper quick ly!!!

by:

We received the AC, installed and working very well. Bought 1 Furrion 2 weeks earlier, 2nd Furrion on Aug. 20th 2023 and with both units on my 2013 Palomino Columbus 5th wheel with the outside temp at 107 degrees today here in Kirvin TX, they are keeping the inside temp at 76 degrees with no trouble. I am very pleased with these two ACs. They are also much quieter then the old Dometic ACs they replaced.

by:

If you’re not replacing a Furrion you will need the inside distribution panel. I had a Domedic and the inside panel does not fit. Very satisfied with the Furrion Chill HE.

by:

Great experience from stay to finish. Got what we ordered and quickly.

Roger was very helpful! Thanks!

  • Replacement Options For The Rooftop Unit Of A Dometic Penguin II RV Air Conditioning System
If your Dometic Penguin has either a 6-pin or 9-pin connector you can replace the rooftop unit without having to replace the air distribution box or thermostat. If you remove the cover for your air distribution box then you should be able to see the controller and the wire harness that runs from the rooftop unit down to it to see what type of connector it has. If it has a 6-pin connector then you would just need the rooftop unit, if it has a 9-pin connector then it would need an adapter...

  • Is The Furrion # FR82PV Compatible With A Dometic RV Air Conditioner System
The Furrion # FR26PR you referenced doesn't come with the wiring harness adapter so you'll want to pick up the Wiring Harness Adapter # C-FACR15SA-A01 as well to make it compatible with your RV's Dometic AC system. Since it has a lower BTU rating it will not be as efficient as your current 15,000 BTU rating. If you're looking for the most efficient unit then you'll want to go with the higher rated Furrion # FR42PV. This unit is rated for 15,000 BTU's.

  • Does 13,500 Btu Furrion Chill HE AC Have Indoor Noise Rating
Furrion does not have an indoor noise rating for the 13,500 Btu Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner - White # FR26PR. Reason being is it would be impossible to give an accurate rating due to the varying factors of RV roofs, and how noise is dispersed throughout. The # FR26PR does have an 80 dB outside noise rating, so it will be quite a bit more muffled inside.

  • Troubleshooting Furrion Thermostat Temperature Reading FACW12SA-BL
Regarding your Furrion FACW12SA-BL (DISCONTINUED) wall thermostat, this is a common observation, as the temperature sensor is in the ceiling with the air distribution box. When using the air conditioner, leave the fan on at least low to keep your interior air being drawn into the box and being measured by the temperature sensor in there. This will help the thermostat to display the true temperature, and to cycle the compressor on and off as needed more accurately.
