Furrion Chill HE RV AC Unit Recommendation to Replace Coleman Unit

Question:

I’m trying to help my 85 yo dad with a/c replacement on a 1994 Wilderness, 19’ travel trailer. I have zero rv knowledge but trying to get up to speed. Appears he has a Coleman Mach distribution unit 7330-714 which doesn’t need to be replaced if there is a roof unit that’s compatible. Compressor pump is out on Coleman unit. Furrion seems to be a great replacement choice, opening is 14”x14”. 13500 BTU is overkill for his rig but I don’t see a smaller Furrion offered. Is there one? A will this unit plug and play with the Coleman wiring? If not, what harness or other do I need? B will his trailer/wiring support the amp draw of this 13500 btu a/c unit when on a 30 amp electric line? He has a generator but doesn’t use it often and I don’t have the specs on it. Thank you!

The Furrion for Coleman Setups part # FR82PV would be an excellent option for your dad's travel trailer. It was designed for Coleman setups like what he has so the install will be very painless and you can continue to use the same controls in the RV already. 13,500 btu isn't going to be overkill. It will just be very efficient and work even on really hot days. The power draw on this is 11.2 amps.
