However, the item's finish was very scratched and looked like it had been stacked on something while the finish was still wet. I will have to hit it with some spray paint before installing. Very disappointing.

Perfect for my needs. High quality shank at a reasonable price, PLUS super fast shipping to me. I know I can always count on eTrailer in a pinch.
The Tri-Union hitch assembly work great as both load transfer and stabilization. And when I recently change trailers and tow setup that had higher load requirements, all I had to do is order the larger capacity load bars. I went from the 800 / 8000 lbs setup to a 1100 / 11000 unit. The only issue I have had with the unit is the brackets that are used to mount the "L" bars to the trailer, bow outwards in the center. This allows the brackets to shift on the trailer frame. I torqued the mounting hardware as specified 65 Foot lbs. in 5 lb increments. One possible solution to resolve this issues would be to weld a lip at a right angle to the mounting brackets.

This product has been has still been a great investment. I added two Equal-i-zer 95015150 Sway Bracket Jackets to the L brackets which helps on the wear and tear of the torsion bars. They subtract a little on the sway control which you must be mindful of when towing, but I feel they are worth it. While mounted on my new travel trailer the L bars havent moved at all, however, I still dont care for the bowing of these bars. Over 7000 miles and still going with a 11000 lbs trailer and 1100 lbs of tongue weight.
I needed to change the height of our hitch ball when we bought a new truck. I spoke with Madison who quickly found the correct one for our application. It was also less expensive than I expected. Shipping was quite fast even though it was a heavy piece. I've been a happy customer of Etrailer for years. Thanks!

I purchased the Fastway weight distribution hitch and found that I needed more drop than the initial hitch offered so I bought this longer shank. Both the weight distribution hitch setup and this shank have performed perfectly. I am very happy I went with this setup. Towing with this outfit is much safer and I feel confident going anywhere with my travel trailer.
This shank is working great. I bought it because I have a 2016 RAM 4x4 and a Winnebago Micro Minnie. The RAM is a bit high in the back and the Micro Minnie is low. This allowed me to have the Micro Minnie level and have the proper weight distribution setup with the Fastway e2 setup. The shank that came with the e2 was too short.
Perfect fit for my new 2017 2500 Ram wich is higher than my Previous 1500 ram.
Now the travel trailer rides level again, also like the hard powder coat finish. Thanks Pat in costumer service expert help.

After a year on the back of my truck I never Remove It it still looking like new, very durable finish, and it works perfectly.
Was just what my customer was needing!
The shank was delivered quickly (as parts from etrailer always are), packaged well, and exactly as advertised. I love how etrailer provides such great descriptions of all the parts that they sell so that you know exactly what you're going to get before you order it.
Product was delivered on time and was as described on the site. While I have not mounted it on the truck yet, it looks to ok quality. Fit and finish is of lesser quality than my original, but good enough to do the job.
Everything arrived in great shape and was just as described. Shipping was fast ordered Sunday night and had Wednesday morning. Have it all together perfect

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. I recommend touching up the affected places on the ball mount with a rust resistant paint. This will help to prevent rust and also you will have it on hand for regular maintenance.
