This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.
The contoured, low-profile design of the latch handle helps protect the coupler from damage by allowing any potential hazards - from debris on the road to your ball mount backing into the coupler - to simply slide over the top. This helps prevent anything from getting under the latch handle and releasing the ball, and it can also limit any damage to the coupler should an impact occur
Unlike most couplers, which have a pin hole on the handle latch, the eZ-Latch coupler features a hole on the side of the coupler itself. Inserting a coupler lock through this hole will keep the latch from lifting, preventing disconnect and theft.
Made of sturdy steel, this coupler features a durable red powder coat primed paint that is designed to limit rust and corrosion. This finish, which allows for easy welding, has a 500-hour salt spray rating, making the coupler perfect for marine use.
The eZ-Latch's sleek, ergonomically designed handle is constructed of an impact-resistant polymer-nylon-resin compound that provides the flexibility and strength needed to bounce back from a collision. Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Demco EZ Latch 32 degree A-frame trailer coupler, fits a 2-5/16 diameter ball. Has a 21,000 pound weight capacity and a prime finish. Now, this A-frame ball coupler will let you hoop up your trailer to your tow vehicle. It'll provide the connection point up front here for a 2-5/16 inch diameter hitch ball. This one uses the EZ Latch mechanism.
It's a nice corrosion-proof composite latch handle, which you'll ensure a nice, simple, secure hookup and disconnect. Basically, what's nice about it, it'll let you hook up when the latch is in the closed position like it is now, you just drop the coupler over the hitch ball and the latch will snap into place to hold it. Just to demonstrate that, I happen to pull, here's a 2-5/16 diameter hitch ball that it would go to. So if we just lift up on this, and we put the hitch ball under there, you can see that when you drop it on there, a little pressure goes down, it pops right onto the ball. You notice the latch raises a little and then it'll lock shut.
And you can see right now it's holding it in place. To remove it, just lift up on the latch and then you can remove it on there. So very easy installation and removal. Now, this has a nice, easy latch design, it has a nice sleek, low profile design, so what's nice about it, it allows any hazards to just simply slip over the top of the coupler, preventing damage to the latch components. Also, unlike most couplers, which have the pinhole to lock it on the handle latch, this EZ Latch coupler features this 5/16th diameter hole here that goes all the way through to the other side.
And that lets you insert a coupler lock through this hole. And once you put the coupler lock through there, it'll keep the latch from lifting, preventing any disconnect and theft. Now, the coupler locks we do sell separately on our website. When you get a coupler lock, you just wanna make sure it fits a 5/16 diameter lock pin hole. And the span on the lock on this, you need a minimum span for 2-3/4 inches.
This is a sturdy steel construction. You can see it has a nice tan prime powder coat finish to give you excellent corrosion resistance. Does meet a 500 hour salt spray rating, which is great for marine applications. The very back here, it has this built-in jack attachment point allows for a nice quick, easy mounting of a round utility jack. The diameter of this opening is 2-3/8 inch diameter, so it'll take jacks up to a 2-1/4 inch diameter outer tube. This is a weld-on installation. And as we mentioned, this is designed to fit a 32 degree A-frame trailer. Again, the ball size, it fits 2-5/16 inches and the weight capacity of 21,000 pounds. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Demco EZ Latch 32 degree A-frame trailer coupler for the 2-5/16 inch diameter ball with a 21,000 pound weight capacity.

This coupler looks like it will do the job. It is very high quality! It is a little overkill for my size trailer, but it is the only one I could find with a 32* angle that will fit my 20 ft. V-nose cargo trailer.
I can't wait to get started replacing my worn out factory coupler with over 16 years and 100,000 miles on it.

Product was as described. Had to modify to fit the included angle of our frame rails, but we knew that going in. Well built part that has a high rating for our needs.
I think they were glad I bought it. It had quite the film of dust on it. It cleaned up real nice. We used it for the first time this weekend and it worked perfect. I would buy it again
