CE Smith Boat Trailer Parts - CE27600

  • CE Smith

Keep your small boat centered during the loading process, despite wind and waves, with these bunk-board-style guide-ons. Corrosion-resistant guides are covered with marine-grade carpet and fit trailer frames up to 3" wide x 4-1/4" tall.

Features:

  • Bunk-style guides support your boat and keep it centered while you're loading it onto your trailer
    • Tilt to accommodate hulls of various sizes
  • Support posts clamp onto top or bottom of trailer frame
    • Mounting brackets allow you to adjust the distance between posts
    • Pre-galvanized steel construction is sturdy and resists corrosion
    • Hardware included
  • Marine-grade carpeting lines bunk boards to protect your boat's finish
  • Black color carpeting
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Quantity: 2 bunk-style boat guides
  • Application: trailer frames up to 3" wide x 4-1/4" tall
    • 2 Extra-long U-bolt kits (CE11416; sold separately) are required for mounting on frames up to 3" wide x 5-1/4" tall
  • Bunk board dimensions (each): 60" long x 2" wide x 4" tall
  • Post dimensions: 18" tall x 1-1/2" wide
  • Extends out from boat up to 13"

Adjustable boat guides can be fine-tuned to work with your boat and your trailer. The pre-galvanized steel support posts mount horizontally on top of or below your trailer's frame rail. Just slide the posts into the boat guide supports and secure the posts so that the distance between the bunks correctly matches the width of your boat. The bunk boards then tilt to conform to the boat's hull. Guides will help to center your boat during loading and to hold the boat during transport.

Pre-Galvanized Steel

Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating less than 1 mil and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so its recommended that they be primed and painted.

These bunks are well built, easy to install, and make guiding the boat onto the trailer so much easier. Great purchase. Quick response from trailer

by:

My only negative is with one screw through the bracket to the frame the board rotates too easily. Eventually I will add a second bolt to lock it in. Other than that install was easy and they work great.

Patrick

Still haven’t added that second bolt but that is still my only negative. Holding up just fine and doing their job every launch and load.

Ordering was easy and the package arrived very quickly. We're 2 ft. deep in snow now, so I think I'll wait until spring to install the bunk guides on the trailer. The shipping box was sturdy and unbroken, so I'm sure all the parts were there. Always a pleasure to deal with etrailer!

The trailer bunk guides are working perfectly for aligning the boat on the trailer during retrieval, and they hold it in place securely while trailering. No need anymore for the massive and cumbersome ratcheting tie down straps to keep the boat from shifting on the trailer during turns. I would highly recommend this product as they contribute significantly to securing the boat while trailering, and make launching and retrieval go much smoother. The fit and quality of the materials are excellent, too.

@Bruce Even with the guide-ons in place, using ratchet straps at the rear of the boat to secure it to the trailer would still be a good idea.

Was missing parts for guide bunks I purchased. Sent an email on a Sunday evening not expecting a reply until the day. To my surprise, my email was not only answered within a half an hour, I was advised that the parts had been ordered and should have them by Wednesday. They did arrive by UPS, as promised.

I cannot express how grateful I was for the quick response, outstanding and awesome customer service.

I am now a lifelong customer and will always order any items from etrailer.

Keep up the great work and service you provide.

by:

I built a rowboat and needed a trailer. I purchased the Guides and Brackets from etrailer and they fit and work perfectly. Very high-quality material and I am very happy with my purchase.

by:

Wonderful product, installed on a trailer for a 25 foot boat and now I can load it all by myself. Highly recommend for anyone looking to make loading the boat much easier.

by:

The boat trailer bunk guide kit was easy to install. It's sturdy And looks great on my trailer.

by:

Found exactly what I was looking for at eTrailer. On the order form was a referral to local installers. Within an hour of putting in the order, I received a list of installers. I contacted the closest one and they can install the item at a reasonable price.EXCELLENT!!!

by:

Exactly what I needed to replace existing boards and hardware. Quick and easy online ordering. Prompt delivery. Have used etrailer before and will continue for all of my trailer needs.

by:

Exactly what I needed for my crestliner boat trailer

by:

The bunk style guide ons were perfect for my needs. Installation was a snap and they look really good. I followed their recommendation and painted them (black) before installing. I used a couple of clamps to hold the boards in place so I was able to easily complete the project by myself. That also allowed me to drill the pilot holes without taking them back off. Much quicker and very easy.

by:

Perfect solution to convert my trailer for my 14' aluminum boat to a drive on self loader. Easy installment and it can be done by one person and a couple clamps. I would recommend this to anyone who has a trailer without side rails.

Perfectly as designed

by:

Very well made , I added an extra bracket at the rear for a little more strength when I hit a little too hard with wind etc. and it’s worked out great ! Etrailer is a quality company .

by:

Ordering from ETrailer was as usual a very good experience. Ordering was very easy and delivery was very prompt. I have ordered several items from ETrailer and have been very happy each time.

by:

Package arrived as scheduled and was 100% complete. Communication on the order was immediate. The plastic caps for the top part of the bars is a nice touch. The hardware is very good quality and the kit installed fairly easy. My only note of consideration is to offer u bolt options. My trailer's frame is 3" square and the < 3.5" wide u bolts would not criss cross so I had to mount them parallel to each other. Otherwise, I would give the product 5 stars.

Installed the bunk guides on a 1988 Calkins roller trailer to improve loading alignment and trailering stability for a 19' Sea Ray OB.

by:

Make retrieving boat so much easier. Now back the trailer in deeper and boat is centered perfectly. Way less cranking on the winch, but feet get wet cause trailer is back farther. I rather take shoes off or switch to boots than crank on the winch.Speeds up load time at ramp. Only down side is I had to buy longer u bolts because my trailer sides were higher than the stock bolts could accommodate. Cost me more money, cause they ain't cheap and I'm suck with 8 u bolts that I have no use for. They should allow you specify the bolt size you need based on trailer frame height.

by:

Shipping on my order was fast. Quality of the kit is great. Everything that I needed was included. Due to my trailer configuration I couldn’t use the five foot bunk boards in the kit but that’s not the kit’s fault.
It makes trailering the boat so much easier. I should’ve done it years ago. I’d certainly buy it again if needed.

by:

Package cane in a timely manner and was as advertised. Install was quick and easy. Was installed on a 18’ ez load trailer.

by:

I'll never own a boat trailer that doesn't have side guides again. Loading in a cross wind has never been easier.

by:

Very happy with fitment and the speed of which I could install it. It took about an hour and 15 minutes.

The side boards are in fact wood, and I recommend drilling pilot holes for the wood screws.

Now for the negatives...

Torque specs or the u-volts would have been appreciated for those of us that care.

But most important would be the pivoting bunk mount. As seen in the photos, they are sheared off square. Rounded edges would be more appropriate as most kids around a boat are wearing clothing with little cut resistance. Someone sliding off the boat or getting their knee on it while getting in could really ruin an outing. I would have rounded them off myself, but I didn’t want to lose the galvinized finish.

by:

looks nice. Helps more than the 2' ones I had when loading....pleased

@KenW We're glad to hear that!

by:

I liked the good selection of products and delivered in just a couple days. The bunk style guide on’s are good quality and will be reordering further products when needed.

by:

Good fit. Worked great for my 16 foot sled. Keeps the boat centered while loading and unloading. Definitely improved my boating experience. I would highly recommend them.

by:

Fit perfectly and easy to install!

by:

I bought these about a year ago and they were easy to install and have performed as advertised.

A bunk-style boat trailer guide-on like the 60-inch CE Smith # CE27600 could be used on a pontoon boat trailer. These bunks serve to guide you when trailering the boat. They mount on the outside of the pontoons as both a visual and a loading guide. These guide-ons are NOT intended to support the boat's weight however. We do offer a product made specifically for pontoon boat trailers, part # CE27671 also from CE Smith, that may be a better choice for you.
