Video Transcript for Curt Wiring C57000 Review

Today we're going to review part number C57000. This is the curt relay kit for Nissan after-market tow packages. This is a custom fit part. This is design to fit the Nissan Armada and Nissan Titan Vehicles starting in 2004's that do not have the factory installed tow packages. Now, these relays can also be used in other Nissan vehicles that might require tow package relays. This kit is used to complete the circuit for towing with a 7-way trailer connector. Basically, this large brown relay right here, is designed to activate the 12-volt power circuit.

These 2 smaller blue relays will activate the right hand and left hand brake and turn signal. These relays are required if your truck does not have 12-volt power or turn signals at the 7-way trailer connector. These relays will fit into the under hood fuse box on your vehicle. When you remove the cover off the panel, you'll notice on the bottom of the cover, it will list the locations and by using these nice directions, it will tell you what locations are used to put these relays into. One other note I do want to mention, is there's some Nissan trucks that might require an additional third small, blue relay just like this. We do sell these individually. It is listed on this product page as a related product.

It's part number 38666-1. These are for the running lights. The third one would be for the running lights. If your truck does not have a signal for the running lights at the 7-way trailer connector, then you'll probably need the additional relay. That should do it for the review on part number C57000, the curt relay kit for Nissan after-market tow packages. .

Great availability and exactly what I needed. Obviously I'm not the only person with a base model Titan that doesn't have the 3 relays needed to complete the trailer lights circuit. 2017 Nissan Titan. I spent many hours trying to figure out why I had running lights but no signal/brake lights. These are the relays you need.

Relay fit as it should and allowed for the easy install of trailer brakes

After a year, still working good. We took the Pathfinder and the camper for a 450-mile round trip last weekend and it is still working as it should.

Both blu relays don't seem to plug in all the way. I was missing one blue relay and I took out the one I had and reinstalled it to compare. These blue ones both don't click/lock into place.

This part is meant for Titans and Armadas which is information that needs to be added to this page, and I will be sending in a note to have that updated. For the Nissan Frontier, you would need part # C56225. It sounds like you already have the seven way, so you would just need the pigtail from part # C56225. It is going to be installed behind the kick panel on the passenger side of your Frontier. Since our page was lacking in important information, I can have our customer service team reach out to you about a return, or if you like, you can save these pieces because they would be able to serve as back ups for the pigtail.

Good Morning, A trailer hooked up to my 2004 Nissan Titan SE had brake and turn lights but NO running lights... Youtube was no help! But through a mix of ETAILER and a Titan forum I learned my truck did not come with all the relays for trailer lights.. I ordered the relays for ETRAILER. The arrived quickly and the instructions made the job easy. Short story I have trailer running lights now

by:

Only reason for a 4 star is these relays should come with the trailer lights plug because you can't buy the relays anywhere else. Easy plug and play , great direction , definitely reccomend

For a 2022 Nissan Titan that does not come with with the tow package we do offer part # N40975 which is the trailer plug with the relays.

My experience with e-trailer has been nothing but stellar. I have a 2016 Nissan NV2500 van that came with a factory installed hitch and 7 way plus a wireing harness preinstalled by the factory in the cab taped up just behind the e-brake. Plus a Nissan harness in the glove box to be used to marry the brake controller to the harness under the dash. The van salesman said thats all I needed, Great! NOT! I worked for hours trying to get the the trailer with brakes to have all the needed lights too. Nothing worked. The dealer had no idea, forget trying to get hold of Taconsha by phone. I finally called the tech who installed brakes on the trailer and he said be sure to check for relays under the dash or hood because the factory alsways makes mistakes. Sure enough no relays were there to make the trailer brakes and light systems to work! Geez....The dealer wanted believe it or not $175.00 for the four relays! I argued that the van should have had them installed. They did not see it that way and never got back to me with my request to provide them where the van was set up for towing from the factory. So relying on e-traler I found a set of relays advertised for the Nissan Titan but nothing specifically for the Nissan NV van's in the way of relays. They do work perfectly. You'll need product #C57000 relay kit and #38666-1 single relay. And harness #3050 to mate from the socket under the dash to your Taconsha P2 brake controller. Look under your hood for the relay box closest to your battery. You'll see four empty sockets. Place your new relay's in the sockets as indicated under the relay box cover. Not much on the Internet as to how to do this on the Internet so I hope this helps other NV2500 van owners.

Perfect in every way.

by:

the initial trailer wire harness works as described-the contact and information/questions answered promptly--I am happy--as for these relays they were bought as in case of something didn't go as planned and although you said I could return them I kept them. so never used yet--the trailer wire harness was installed on a 2012 Nissan Frontier

as advertised fits well and still workinggood product support when there is any niggles or questions.

by:

Exactly what I needed to get my running lights working.

by:

Easy to use and arrived one day early. And all three electrical parts were easy to install .
Our local auto parts store wasn’t able to provide the connectors.

by:

I've been using my Tekonsha Voyager Trail Brake system for the past year with no problems or concerns. I'm towing a 3100# camper behind my '11 Nissan Pathfinder and the system works great and was easy to install.

I have traded the vehicle that I installed those products on. While I did have those products they work fine, no problems and they performed as advertised.

Great quality, took no more than 2 minutes to install, clear instructions. Highly recommend the product and etrailer of course, fast shipping and great attention.

Theyre still working the way they were designed outstanding

by:

This was exactly what I needed for my 2008 pathfinder SE. had a factory location for the relays just needed these for my trailer brakes to work with the controller.

by:

Everything was there and plugged in exactly. Only problem was that it took me a while to figure out that not all the relay go in the fuse box and that there was a separate box for the trailer relays! That wasn’t entirely clear in the instructions but once i found the right box everything was OK.

by:

Right part, easy install for my 2017 Nissan Titan, which did not come with the factory trailer relays. Thanks.

by:

I purchased a used vehicle, it has a combination 7/4 way connector, but was only wired for the 4 way. I needed the brown relay for the 12v to the 7 way. Purchasing the complete package was cheaper than the single brown relay at other sources. Pure plug and play.

by:

Information in solving a very difficult problem in getting the running and brake likes to work on a Nissan Armada was resolved quickly with good information and advice.

Worked perfectly and directions were easy to follow. Will definitely use etrailer.com in the future as I have in the past.

by:

This set saved the day on getting my Nissan ready to tow my trailer! The 7 way harness that the dealer sells doesn't let the line to charge the battery work without this!

by:

Excellent. Took less than 5 minutes to install. Very simple. Trailer lights working now. This works with a 2006 Nissan Titan without the factory installed tow package. All 3 relays together cost less than 1 relay at other places!

The service at etrailer.com is top-notch. I ordered on Monday and had my package on Wednesday. Prompt, professional, and courteous service. I'd recommend etrailer.com to all of my friends.

by:

Although their products did not cause a problem that I was having with turn signals on my trailer they continued to assist me until the solution to the problem was corrected. Finally they sent me a site that had the information that I needed to correct the problem. Lots of time was saved as it would have taken many hours to finally locate the offending item. I am glad that they continued to help me until the solution was found.

by:

Love the service we get from etrailer.com. Had trouble with our towing lights and thought we had a towing package on our truck, turned out we didn't. These were just the ticket and worked great. Great customer service and good quality parts. We'll be ordering from etrailer again.

by:

Received the product quickly and plugged them in and they worked perfectly. Would suggest that eTrailer places their shipping information on the site. i.e. If ordered after 3pm it's not processed until the next day and they don't deliver on weekends. I called in after spending 2x as much for shipping as I did for the product, just to learn I couldn't get it any sooner because I ordered after 3pm and it was a Thursday. They did change my shipping option and reduced my cost but I had to call in to get it done. Negated the ease of an online purchase. Overall good service and great product.

  • Installing a Hopkins Brake Controller on a 2014 Nissan Frontier Without the Factory Tow Package
Since the colors of wiring can vary on different vehicles, the best way to ensure that you have correctly installed your Hopkins brake controller, like the Agility # HM47295, is to use a Circuit Tester # PTW2992 to see what each of the functions on your wires are. You will then want to connect the wires on the pigtail of the Agility to the following functions: Black - 12V Power Blue - Brake Signal to 7-Way Connector White - Ground Red - Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when the brake pedal...

First thing you need to do is determine if the problem is on the trailer wiring or your vehicle wiring.
