Replacement Railing Foot for Thule Rapid Tracker Foot Pack

I had broken me railing foot on my Thule rack do to strapping plywood down on a windy day. Driving with this headwind was just to much for the rack. I found etrailer online, found the parts and placed the order. Everything else was clock work. Factory Thule parts showed up within the week, easy to replace and I was back in business. Living on the Big Island of Hawai'i, This is on heard of.

When I first broke the railing foot i thought I was up a creek with out a paddle. I thought I would have to buy a whole new system from a local dealer (if I could find one). Then wait 6-8 weeks for it to arrive. This is how it usually works living on a island in the middle of the Pacific. When I was able to order the parts at very reasonable cost, have them in a week, & installed with in 20 minutes. I was a happy camper.

I bought a used Leer cap that had the Thule Aero Load bars with it, but two of the feet were broken, as the previous owner explained to me. Etrailer.com was the only site that provided a clear description and photos that made the choice to purchase easy. Sure enough, after being kept abreast of the replacement feet's travel during shipping, Etrailer came through with flying colors. Great product and I find it odd more manufacturers don’t offer the option. It’s a breeze to put on and off. It’s very handy in Puerto Rico where many garages have low ceilings. Having the option to remove the racks in 4 clicks ensures I can park my truck anywhere. It’s also a nice feature to have when you’re traveling longe distances and don’t need the racks on to help improve gas mileage. 466938

I called the place I bought the rack from and they said my part is discontinued and so I thought I might have to buy another set of foot packs, was very disappointed to hear that.
