Troubleshooting a 2005 Nissan Armada Trailer Turn Signals Not Functioning
Question:
We have a 7 pin trailer hookup on our Armada, it is not factory installed. The turn signal lights will click for 2 to 3 times then turn off and the brake lights are very dim. Both turn signals are behaving this way. I took it to the dealer and they tested it at the hitch and everything was working so their conclusion is it is the trailer. I know it isnt the trailer it works fine with another vehicle. We also hooked the car up to another trailer and had the same issue. Could this be a relay issue? I checked the relays under the hood and we have all of them installed.

It sounds like you have isolated the problem to being on your 2005 Nissan Armada. The relays could be bad like you suggested, which you could try replacing them to see if that helps. Another possible solution would be a bad ground. You might check the condition of the ground circuit to make sure it is attached to a clean metal surface.
We sell the relays, you would want Curt Relay Kit # C57000. The blue relays are the turn signal relays so it would make sense if replacing them would fix the problem.
I attached an install video for this product for you to check out also.
I also attached an FAQ article on trailer wiring that you might find informative.
