2014 Honda Crosstour

Easy to install and works perfectly for my bike rack.

by:
Honda Crosstour

I bought the hitch so I could mount a bike rack for a tandem bicycle on a Honda Crosstour. The hitch works great for that purpose. Installation was straightforward, but removing the rubber rings to lower the exhaust was more challenging than I expected.

Trailer hitch is working great.

by:

Works fine but the mounting holes didn't quite line up with the attachment points on the vehicle. I had carefully bend it to get it to fit.

by:
2014 Honda Crosstour

Performs exactly as described. Installation was easier on our 2012 Crosstour than our 2014 Crosstour.

Harley Davidson

I purchased a C11002 hitch for my 2010 Honda Cross Tour so I can trailer my Harley Davidson from Massachusetts to Florida and back again. The hitch was easy to install and it has worked well for me for the trip down to Florida and back to Massachusetts. I highly recommend this hitch.

by:
2013 Honda Crosstour

Installation was straight forward and simple. Took me about two hours could have been less but I am pretty picky about doing everything perfect.

Great still

by:

This hitch was an easy install and fit perfect as the instructions were clear and precise. The quality and finish are 5 Star! This is being used for a bike rack and is very sturdy. Thanks etrailer.

Honda Crosstour

Great purchase for better half who uses the trailer hitch as a secondary bumper on his newer Honda Crosstour
Highly and enthusiastically recommend
Can self install but had a Chevy car dealer install in a couple of hours
Thanks again

by:

I just passed the one year mark with my hitch and it's been FLAWLESS! I mean, perfect! I have towed a zero turn mower about 1/2 dozen times/month, furniture, etc and it's still going strong. It's tightly installed, durable and rugged. I highly recommend it!

by:
2013 Honda Crosstour

Hitch came in very good condition. Wiring harness had no good instructions for the 2013 Honda Crosstour.

by:
2015 Honda Crosstour

I asked this question about the parts received before I discovered this product review option. so I will repeat my question. I got a wire harness for a 2012 Honda Crosstour. the instruction show to put a 15 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood. There also is a small container for a fuse included in the red wire of the harness. Do I need a fuse in there also? if yes ? what size? Thanks for your help.

2010 Honda Accord

Website to order was very user friendly, hitch delivery was earlier than anticipated, installation was easy. Very happy with the quality and customer service! Longevity of the build is the last part and time will tell!

by:

Great product for the price.

by:
2013 Honda Crosstour

This product blends very well with the existing bumper- actually looks like OEM. Plan to use this to tow a 14' dinghy trailer with about 1,000 lbs of weight.

by:

I can sum up my thoughts simply easy, easy ,easy ! I think this hitch is built to a higher standard that is to say Robustly I have no worries as to whether it will prove capable to its intended task , and that's just Nice Ya gotta love that !

by:

We ordered this hitch for Christmas for our daughter. We had ordered the wrong style she wanted and when we went to exchange they were prompt about getting the new one out to us. They were on top of it all. The hitch hasn't been installed on the car for further review.

by:

Install was super easy, fit perfect, great instructions. Very solid unit.

by:

Solid heavy construction.

by:

My
hitch arrived in just a couple of days & it only cost me $65 to have it installed (1.25 hrs).

  • Recommendations for Hitch to Use Bike Rack on 2011 Honda Accord 4 Door Sedan
All of the hitches available for your 2011 Honda Accord 4-Door Sedan are a Class I 1-1/4 inch size. You will want to make sure the bike rack you use is designed to fit a Class I 1-1/4 inch hitch. A Class I hitch will only accept Class I rated accessories. I am including a link to a FAQ page on hitch sizes and different class ratings. It will describe the difference in the Class I rated hitch. The Curt Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 11002, you have mentioned will not fit your Accord....

  • Recommended Bike Rack for 2013 Honda CrossTour
Based on what you listed as wanting for a bike rack solution for your 2013 Honda Crosstour a hitch and hitch mounted rack would be your best option. Trunk racks are great but if your plan is to leave the rack on for extended periods of time and have it secure with locks a hitch rack would be way better than a trunk rack. For a hitch you would want the Curt class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11002. The Swagman XTC2, part # S64670 is one of the most popular racks because it's so easy...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2015 Honda Crosstour
Torklift manufactures hitches that are designed for heavy duty applications like full sized trucks. Their hitches would have capacities ranging from 15 to 30K, which would be well over the towing capacity of your Crosstour. The hitches available for your 2015 Honda Crosstour are all Class I, which would have a 2000 lbs towing/200 lb tongue weight capacity. This capacity would be limited by the capacity of the vehicle itself, which is 1000 to 1500 lbs, depending on how its equipped. I'd...

  • Can a 2015 V6 AWD Honda Crosstour Tow 2 Snowmobiles
As long as the gross trailer weight is under the 1,500 pound capacity and the tongue weight is under the 150 pound capacity of the 2015 Honda Crosstour then you will be good to go as far as occasionally towing the trailer. If the trailer is heavier than the capacity of the vehicle I can't recommend towing it. The suspension would be fine because if the trailer is within the capacity of the vehicle then the tongue weight would be just 150 pounds which it should not have a problem handling...

  • Solution for Stripped Weld Nut When Installing Trailer Hitch
If you can access an open end of the frame where the weld nut broke off you could fishwire a new carriage bolt in place of the weldnut. Otherwise you may have to weld the hitch on or see if a local garage like you mentioned could come up with a way to re-weld in a weld nut. For a bolt leader you could then use the # C58400. I attached a link to an install video that at the 1:30 mark shows how to fishwire hitch hardware. You will need to drill out the old weld nut.

  • Class I Cargo Carrier for a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour
I recommend the 20 x 47 Reese Cargo Carrier, part # 63155 for your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. This combines a mesh floor and raised sides to give you extra versatility in cargo carrying. It is rated to carry up to 300lbs, though you'll want to verify your towing and tongue weight capacity in your owner's manual prior to use. This would work great with your Curt Class I Hitch, part # C11002. This is a no drill installation and I've included a video detailing that process on the 2012...

  • Solution for Hitch Install Where Weldnut of Vehicle Frame Gets Stripped
I have to recommend you find a way to use that mounting point on your hitch. What you will need to do is find the next size up thread tap and tap the threads to the next size up and source a bolt with the matching threads so that you can secure the hitch with all of the intended holes. If you do not use all of the mounting points of the hitch the warranty would be voided regardless of how you plan to use the hitch.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring for 2015 Honda Crosstour
The trailer hitches we offer for your 2015 Crosstour are all Class l hitches and have a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The hitch I recommend is the Curt, part # C11002. The hitch can be used for some light towing if that is what you have in mind. For a ball mount I recommend part # 3590. For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball you can use part # 19256, and for a 2 inch hitch ball you can use part # 19258. If you need a trailer connector on your Crosstour I recommend part # 118642. • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For 2013 Honda Crosstour
The trailer hitches we offer that are designed to fit your 2013 Crosstour, like the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11002, are Class l hitches and have a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. Using a hitch adapter like part # HTAD does reduce the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. This means for towing you would be limited to a trailer that weighs less than 1,000 lbs and a tongue weight about 100 lbs. If the weight of your bikes and bike rack together do not exceed 100 lbs, the HTAD would work...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2011 Honda Accord
I took a look online and the 2011 Honda Accord has a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 lbs so the capacity of all the available hitches would be well over what the vehicles can handle. This is common practice amongst hitch manufacturer's and why we advise customers to verify their vehicle's actual capacity and not go off of what the hitch can do. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # 306-X7299 is the only hitch available for the 2011 Accord that has a 2" receiver. It however only fits...

  • Best Way to Transport Expensive Bikes with a 2010 Honda Accord CrossTour
We have hitches that are designed to fit your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. Hitch mounted bike racks are the way to go, especially for transporting expensive bikes for a long period of time. For a hitch you would want the Curt Hitch part # C11002 as this has been confirmed to fit your vehicle. • Installing Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2013 Honda Crosstour
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11002 that you purchased is a direct fit for your 2013 Honda Crosstour. The M10 bolts likely won't fit because there is rust and corrosion built up in the open holes and the weld nuts in the frame. Using lubricant and a wire brush usual solves the problem. I've linked an article on cleaning weld nuts for you as well.

The Honda Crosstour is part of the Accord family and we do have a trailer hitch option for the 2011 model. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11002 which is a bolt-on fit. It has a class I rating with 1-1/4" receiver tube opening.

We certainly do. You'll want to begin by installing a hitch, such as the Curt Class I, part # C11002. You can see the installation instructions by clicking the provided link. Once the hitch is in place, you can install a platform-style bike rack. Of the available choices, I'd recommend the Swagman XTC2, part # S64670. Thule no longer produces the Vertex bike racks but there were a few different versions of the Vertex in production at one time. • Why Cant More than 2 Bikes be Carried on a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2013 Honda Crosstour
That is correct. On a Class I hitch it isn't the weight that is the issue. It is how far that weight is from the hitch receiver. A third and subsequent bikes will be too far from the receiver which will put a lot of extra stress on the hitch and where it attaches to the vehicle. If you have ever used a long wrench or breaker bar to loosen a lug nut it is the same concept: if the lever is long enough it takes very little force to loosen that nut. And if the weight on a bike rack is far enough...

The Curt Hitch part # C11002 is a custom fit for your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour and it is your best option for the use of a bike rack. The Curt Hitch gives you a little over 3 inches more ground clearance then the Draw-Tite version for this vehicle so the bike rack is less likely to drag the ground if you are ever in a low ground clearance situation. I recommend the Class I compatible Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058 for your Class I hitch because it only weighs 28lbs so it is very easy...
