The product was delivered ahead of time. Cheaper than blue Ox or any outlet RV. Matter of fact the representative at blue Fox sent the wrong bracket system for Desert Fox AS 24 it is a bolt on bracket. I was leaving on vacation in 5 days and they Blue-Ox” wanted me to send the whole unit back to them and re-order. 10 day turnaround, yeah right. I called etrailer had the correct mounting shipped. Three day freight charge, and the cost was cheaper than what Bluefox would’ve offered me. Very satisfied, representative was courteous and helpful, and I received my package in three days.

by:

I worked with Joshua who was extremely helpful.
As soon as the brackets arrived I installed them and proceeded to use my trailer with my sway bars hooked up. They performed flawlessly.

by:

These beasts do the job together with the BXW0750 we bought. They are doggone heavy and bulkier than I expected. There is some rust where the links make hard contact and the bar attachment point but I guess that's probably normal after a year of use. Maybe a bit of rust elsewhere too just starting though and I'm not super thrilled about its likely appearance in another couple years.

by:

Only had to use them once, 5 minutes and done.

Great deal!

  • How To Use A Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution On A Camper Or Trailer With C-Channel Frame
You are definitely correct in that the # BXW4010 Clamp-On Brackets that come with the Blue Ox SwayPro # BLU54TR are not going to be a good option for your camper. However, we do have what you need to make this work. What you are looking for is the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets # BXW4021. These will fit all models of SwayPro and can either be clamped around the frame with the included hardware, or bolted through the frame (though this way will require drilling through said frame)....

  • Recommended Hub and Drum Assembly, Brakes, and Brake Controller for 2018 Cargo Craft 6 x 9 Trailer
In order to find out which hub and drum assembly fits your 3,500 lb axle on your Cargo Craft trailer you will need to know which bearings are on your axle. If you have a serial number on the axle you can probably get this information from the manufacturer. If not, you will need to look for part numbers stamped in your existing bearings or take some measurements. I recommend using a digital caliper like the # PTW80157. Assuming you have the most common bearings on your 3,500 lb axle, and...

  • Regular or Underslung 15k Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch For E-Z Latch Coupler
First, thanks for all that info and the photo; your trailer's E-Z Latch coupler is not underslung, so what you need is the standard SwayPro and not the underslung. The correct part number is the following: - Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW1500 As for the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets for SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems # BXW4021, it will work for you, but it could interfere with the tongue box, as they will be positioned 29 inches back on center....

  • Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Trailer that Weighs 14,000 lb
You'd need a high rated weight distribution system for a trailer that weighs 14k. We have the Blue Ox SwayPro kit part # BWX2000 which has a tongue weight range of 1,500 - 2,000 lbs which would be about right for your 14k rated trailer. For a hitch ball you'd then want the part # 63840. Due to your large frame dimensions you'd have to swap out the chain hangers for the # BXW4021 which you can bolt to the side of the trailer frame.

  • Bolt Sizes for the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets # BXW4021
There are 3 different bolt sizes that come with the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets # BXW4021 for mounting. The ones that you use will depend on the size of your trailer frame. There are 4 bolts for all 3 following sizes: 1/2" x 13 x 1-1/4" 1/2" x 13 x 2-3/4" 1/2" x 13 x 3-1/4" When I asked my contact at Blue Ox what the size and purpose of the 2 large bolts were he said that they are 3/4" x 10 and they are replacement bolts for the shank and hitch head assemblies.

  • Can Curt Chain Hangers Be Used Instead Of Clamp On Hangers Provided With BXW2000?
The Chain Hangers for Curt Weight Distribution Systems - Bolt On # C17005 will work for chain style systems that don't have sway control, so if you replace the tightening clamps of the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW2000 you would lose the sway control ability of the hitch but it could still function for weight distribution. My recommendation instead is to use the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets for SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems - Clamp On or Bolt...

  • What is the Difference Between the Blue Ox BXW0550 and BXW0553
They do look similar but the # BXW0550 is designed for standard trailer couplers and the # BXW0553 is designed for underslung couplers. In order to make sure this will work for your trailer you'll want to make sure your tongue weight falls between 350-lbs and 550-lbs, has trailer frame height between 3" and 6" and up to 2-5/8" wide. It sounds like your frame is 4" x 4", so you wouldn't want to use the included clamp on chain hangers. Instead of the clamp on hangers you could either use...

  • Best Way to Control Sway With Heavy V-Nose Car Hauler
I can certainly help you get your family to Alaska safely as we do have some options that will be helpful, but it will depend on a few different factors. There is actually an anti-sway weight distribution system that would work, the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW2000, though this would require your 2017 Ford F-250 have a 2-1/2" hitch like the Curt # C15802, and you would also need to switch the brackets from the SwayPro's clamp on to the Blue Ox Signature Series...

  • Weight Distribution System Compatibility with V-Nose Enclosed Trailer
V-nose trailers can be a little complicated because they often don't have the exposed frame rail but all other components are very similar to a standard A-frame trailer. Because the frame isn't exposed far enough for many brackets to work, you simply swap the brackets with chain hangers like # RP58305. This will allow you to use a chain style weight distribution system which can also use a friction sway bar, or you can use the Reese Strait-Line Dual Cam brackets that attach to the underside...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For 16000lb Deck Over Utility Trailer W/ 10-12 Tall Frame
I have an option for you, but that is a pretty large frame rail at 10" - 12". The one option that will work is the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch # BXW2000 which works with tongue weights between 1500-2000lbs which should be about right of your 16000lb deck over trailer, and to secure it to your frame you will need the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets for SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems # BXW4021. • Best Weight Distribution System for I-Beam Trailers with GTW up to 20,000 Lbs
In order to choose the correct weight distribution system, you will need to find the total tongue weight (TTW) of your towing setup by adding the tongue weight (TW) of both your loaded ready to tow trailer and any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. The average TW rating of a trailer is typically 10-15% of the gross trailer weight (GTW). • Is There a Weight Distribution System that Will Fit an 8 inch Tall Trailer Frame
I have a solution for you but the Reese Weight Distribution w/out Shank # RP66021 that you referenced won't work well for you due to how tall your frame is. So what you'll need to do is install an under slung coupler on your trailer like the # CA-5335-B which basically gives you a coupler that attaches to the bottom of the trailer frame so that you can use a weight distribution system designed for underslung coupler like the # BXW1003 which has a tongue weight range of 750-1,000 lbs. • Will Blue Ox SwayPro Fit 2-1/2 Inch Wide Trailer Tongue
The brackets on the Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW2000 will fit a 2-1/2" wide tongue. The problem is the 10" height since 8" is the max. However, this does not mean you can't use this weight distribution hitch. What you will need to do is use the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets for SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems # BXW4021. They won't be able to clamp over the frame but you can bolt these brackets onto the tongue which will allow you to use the SwayPro without any issues.

  • Can Blue Ox Brackets be Used on a Curt Weight Distribution System
The only component that can safely be mixed and matched on weight distribution (WD) systems is the shank. If you are using a Curt system then you need to use the Hook Up Brackets # C17208 and I do not recommend using Blue Ox Brackets # BXW4021 or # BXW4020.
