What Is The Distance From the Top of the Shank to the Top of the Air Bag On the Shocker XR Channel?
I went and spoke with Shocker and they let me know the the measurement on their Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch # SHK68VR from the top of the 2" shank to the top of the airbag in the lowest position is 8". This would be when using the 8 hole XR channel (black), as opposed to the 10 hole channel that should drop an additional two inches resulting in a 6" measurement.

Is The Shocker Air Equalizer Overkill For A 600lb Tongue Weight Travel Trailer
The Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch # SHK68VR was designed for up to 1,200lb tongue weight so your 600lb tongue weight will easily fall within range and wouldn't necessarily be overkill. The manufacturer does not give a specific psi rating and recommends starting with the air bag empty and filling it 5psi at a time until you feel comfortable with the ride quality. Once properly inflated for your application the air bag will help minimize the bouncing you're feeling...

What Length Shanks Are Offered for the Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch
There is only one size shank for the Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch, part # SHK68VR or part # SHK88VR. That said, we do have options for ones longer though you will need to forgo any cushioning and for this I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4500 which measures 18" long or 14" from hole to hole.

Hey Ron, There is indeed a Shocker Hitch head that will work with a weight distribution hitch, with the right one depending on your hitch size. - 2" Hitch: Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch # SHK68VR - 2-1/2" Hitch: Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch # SHK88VR This will replace the standard shank on your weight distribution hitch and give you that smoother, more comfortable ride the Shocker is known for due to its air bag so it's a very nice upgrade.

Will the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System Work with Shocker Air Equalizer
I don't think the Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch part # SHK68VR would be compatible with the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System part # BW78FR due to a few reasons, clearance being one but this is also not something that we have tested. That said, the B&W Continuum is not like most other standard weight distribution systems and I don't think it really needs the extra cushioning.
