Weight Distribution Recommendation for Forest River Camper with 10 Stacked Frame Tongue

Question:

good morning, I have a forest river camper with an undermounted 2 5/15 hitch but the frame height is 10. It was constructed with steel tubes stacked on top of each other for the frame, it is 2inch wide. I was curious if the blue ox BXW4021 can be drilled into the side and mounted low enough on the frame to make it compatible with their hitches or is there a different route i can go. tongue weight is between 700 to 900 lbs. 2 in receiver on the vehicle.

Thanks for all of the information!

Yes, you can use the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets # BXW4021 for your application. These are designed to be installed by using the clamping system or you can drill through your trailer frame to install the bolts like you mentioned.

If your loaded tongue weight is between 700 - 900 lbs then the 10K Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution # BXW1000 is what you'll be needing, just keep in mind a properly loaded trailer has a 10-15% tongue weight in regards to the rest of the trailer weight.

Attached are some review videos for you to check out.
