Video Transcript for Buyers Products Wiring - Wiring Adapters - 337TC1067P Review

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a 6-Way round to 7-Way RV adapter, with the 8" pre-wired cable. This 6-Way round to 7-Way adapter is your solution for converting a 6-Way round pin connector, to a 7-Way connector. It's made of durable plastic, features a built in cover that is spring loaded. That's designed to keep out the elements, and protect the connection points. And then in between the connectors, we have the 8" flexible wire loom, which helps protect the wiring from damage and wear.So again, this basically converts your vehicle's 6-Way round connector to a 7-Way connector. It's constructed of a durable die-cast zinc, here on the 6-Way connector, so that has the nice corrosion resistant design to it. We have the finger tabs there, for an easy grip design.

And on this side, we have the impact resistant 7-Way connector.Mounting hardware not included, but you will notice that it has four pre-drilled holes, right there. Up and down, they're separated on center by an inch and a half, side to side, they're separated on center by 2 1/4".And that's gonna do it of today's look, at the 6-Way round to 7-Way RV adaptor, with a 8" pre-wired cable.

You mentioned that you were unhappy with the adapter and I wanted to see if you could explain in more detail about your experience with it.

I used this to convert a Mini Winnie motor home to a Nighthawk Roadmaster 676 Tow Bar and a Jeep Rubicon 4dr with the hm56200 Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles. You have to cut off the 4 pin on the jeep wiring kit and wire in the Roadmaster socket that mounts on the front bumper. Follow the wiring diagram and you can't make a mistake. I have to say, this I expected to break out the volt meter and rewire. IT WORKED RIGHT OUT THE BOX. Looking forward to camping and getting the RUBI dirty and wet. Feel free to ask questions the eTrailer guys and Ladies are great. Best customer service. THANK YOU!!!! :)

  • How to Make 6-Way to 4-Way Coiled Adapter for Flat Towing Vehicle
Since there isn't a 6-way to 4-way coiled adapter like you are looking for you'd have to piece together the kit you are in need of with the part # PK11604 for the 6-way, the part # RM-1064-B for the coiled wire section, and then for the 4-way part # HM48030 and you'd be set.

The first thing you'll need to connect your 2019 Diamond C 25DOD that has a 7-way to your 2019 Kubota M7060HDC tractor that has a 6-way is a 7-way to 6-way adapter like the # 337TC1067P. Now to activate the trailer brakes you'll need a brake controller, and normally this is where the install gets interesting as you'd typically have to track down a signal that only has voltage when the brake are applied as well as run several other wires but we have a really simple solution that will work...

  • 6-Way to 7-Way Adapter Recommendation for 1999 Chevy Suburban
A 6-way trailer wiring connector would normally carry the brake output circuit as long as a brake controller is installed in the vehicle. That said, we do have a 6-way to 7-way adapter part # 337TC1067P which is a simple plug in adapter that will convert your 6-way to a 7-way. If you wanted to just replace the 6-way with a 7-way you'd want the part # PK11898 which comes with wiring, the socket, and a mounting bracket. If you don't have a brake controller installed the best option is the...

  • Trailer Connector Required to Use Curt Echo Brake Controller C51180
The Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180 does need an RV-style 7-way blade-type connector like # PK11893 in order to function. If your camper trailer has a 6-way socket on the rear now you can replace this easily with a 7-way using part # PK12-707E which has screw terminals for easy connection. Although there are wiring adapters to convert a 6-way to a 7-way, such as # 337TC1067P and # 47435, these add an additional connection where is never good in terms of reliability. The Curt Echo...

  • Can RV with 6-Way Actuate Brakes of Tow Dolly with 7-Way
A 7-way to 6-way adapter like the part # 337TC1067P does allow the brake output circuit to pass through so if you had a brake controller installed in your RV it would function through the adapter and actuate the dolly brakes. I don't know what RV you have so I don't have an install harness I can recommend for you but I can recommend the Curt Echo part # C51180 which basically just plugs into an active 7-way and once synced to a smart phone is ready to tow.

With a 6-pin connector you just won't have a reverse light pin so the reverse lights on the trailer will not function and neither will any back up cameras tied into the reverse light circuit on the camper. We have a version of the Custer Wireless Tow Bar Light that uses a 7-way blade with the part # LIW-LDTL-7B which we do have adapters for like with the # 337TC1067P which plugs into your 6-way and converts to same connector as the tow bar.

There are two ways that 6-ways can be wired like you mentioned.
