Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this REDARC 30 amp circuit breaker kit. This 30 amp circuit breaker is going to help protect your vehicle from damaging shorts and overloads when you have an electric brake controller installed. So, this is gonna provide a protection for your vehicles that are towing trailers that have up to six brake assemblies. This is designed to work with your REDARC Tow-Pro Elite, Tow-Pro Classic and Tow-Pro Liberty brake controllers. This is from REDARC, so you can trust it is going to work really well with those.
It does come with the connection wires that are pre-crimped and heat shrunk to ensure that they have nice durability and performance. So, you're just gonna have to connect wires to your circuit breaker with the included nuts there. So, this kit is going to come with the 30 amp circuit breaker with the protective cover, your one, approximately one foot long, pre-crimped cable that connects to your battery. You're also going to get one, approximately 6 1/2 foot long cable that will connect to your brake controller. You're going to get the two nuts for attaching the cables to the circuit breaker, one butt connector and one heat shrink, for covering that, to make sure you have a nice solid connection as well as the instruction sheet to walk you through how to get everything assembled.

Very professional easy to install. The protective covering insures the circuit breaker doesn’t get shorted out if something touches it. I used it to connect to the Deka jacketed 2 wire that ran to my 7 pole trailer plug (12 volt feed) on my rear bumper.

I wanted to be sure I had everything. A local place Custom Coach on Pulaski Hwy, Baltimore did a fantastic job on the install, Sorry I can't remember the techs name. I have a 2018 Kia Sorento SX V6, AWD with 4 pin Tow Pkg. car rated for 5k/500# load. Trailer is a 2022 Palomino Real Lite RL-186. I've logged 2 trips so far 1 to NYS mostly highway and to Cass, West Virginia area. The controller adapted quickly, I went to a '5' to a '4' setting even in the mountains it was smooth no jerking. The one picture shows installation ubder the dash totally out of the way. It works great!

Brake controller was easy to install and calibrate in my 2018 Jeep JLU. The low profile of the dial is fantastic. Performance is as expected.

I installed this in my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, and I am very happy with the results. You don't need the protection diode add-on for a WK Jeep, but the 30 amp breaker and power line really helps make it easy. The knob fits nicely to the left of the steering column, and the controller mounts on a bracket below there.

Bought a redarc TowPro Elite for my 2018 Titan, as well as the trim plate to mount in the dash. Installation could not have been easier. I chose to connect the wiring to the factory brake controller wiring harness. Two screws to remove the lower half of the dash and I was testing the controller out in 45minutes. The unit works as a proportional or user controlled brake for my 20 foot enclosed trailer and works wonderfully, now I can take both my motorcycles to the mountains and know my trailer won't be trying to roll over me on the downgrade.

Top quality product. I did think that the cable designated for power was too short and another butt connector could have been provided, especially given the pricing on this item. It is universal, so it can be used to help connect to any brake controller, not just Redarc.
