NOCO GENIUS10 Smart Battery Charger Dimensions

The NOCO Genius 10-amp smart charger quickly charges and maintains your 6V and 12V lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, using a standard household outlet. Rated for 6V and 12V batteries up to 230 amp-hours, it's a great charger for cars, motorcycles, lawnmowers, ATVs, tractors, trucks, SUVs, and boats. With 7 selectable battery profiles, multi-stage charging, and advanced safety features, this Genius smart charger makes it easy to keep your batteries in peak condition. There's even a Force Mode feature for charging dead batteries with 0-volts.

NOCO GENIUS10 Genius Battery Charger Operation

This Genius smart charger removes the frustration of having to own multiple devices to charge different battery types and vehicles. Just attach the battery clamps to the vehicle's battery terminals, select a charging mode to match your application, and wait for the LED indicator to signal that the battery is completely charged. It's that simple.

User-Friendly Interface with LED Indicators

NOCO GENIUS10 LED Charging Indicators

This Genius smart charger was designed to provide a simple, user-friendly experience. The mode button allows you to easily cycle through the unit's charge settings. Back-lit LED indicators let you verify that the unit is operating correctly, and they allow it to be easily operated at night. These indicators signal the unit's charge status, selected charging mode, and alert you to potential performance issues or errors.

NOCO GENIUS10 Smart Diagnostics Troubleshooting Explained

These indicators allow you to quickly identify a problem with the battery or connection. So you don't have to waste time guessing if the battery voltage is too high or too low for your selected mode, or worry about damage from a reversed polarity connection to a battery.

8 Battery Charging Modes

This Genius 10-amp smart charger has 8 selectable charging modes that let you quickly switch between charging different lead-acid and lithium-ion battery types at different voltages. Traditional battery chargers generally only work with a specific voltage or battery type, like lithium-ion or AGM batteries, or only in special circumstances like charging in cold environments. This Genius smart charger gives you the versatility to tackle different battery types and charging situations in one charger.

NOCO GENIUS10 Automatic Battery Charger Charging Modes Explained

The image above details the available charging profiles. The charger works with 6V and 12V wet cell, gel cell, enhanced flooded, calcium, maintenance-free, AGM, and lithium-ion batteries with baterry management systems (BMS). A 12V repair mode lets you restore lost capacity to sulfated and old batteries.

NOCO GENIUS10 Force Mode for Charging Zero Voltage Batteries

The Genius 10-amp can detect and charge batteries that have been drained to 1-volt. And by activating the Force Mode, the charger can even charge dead batteries with 0-volts. Traditional chargers can't detect a battery when the voltage drops below a certain level. To activate Force Mode hold the mode button down for 5 seconds.

12V power supply mode lets you power a 12V accessory. This works great for powering accessories like a tire inflator around the home or garage.

Genius Precision Battery Clamps

NOCO GENIUS10 Genius Precision Battery Clamps

The needle-nosed battery clamps included with this Genius smart charger are designed to easily connect to battery terminals of all shapes and sizes. Unlike typical, plastic battery clamps, these clamps are constructed entirely of metal, ensuring maximum conductivity. The clamps are covered with an over-molded plastic housing, which makes them easy to operate even with work gloves on. A built-in 20-amp fuse protects your connection against dangerous overloads.

NOCO GENIUS10 Battery Clamps with Eyelet Connectors

Extra-large 13/32" eyelet connectors can be unbolted from the clamps for direct mounting to terminals on hard-to-reach batteries. The lie-flat design ensures maximum contact with terminals to optimize current transfer.

Quickly Charge and Maintain Batteries from 120VAC Power Source

NOCO GENIUS10 AC Plug for Wall Outlet Charging

This Genius smart charger plugs into an available wall outlet to quickly charge and maintain your battery. High-frequency switch-mode technology converts AC power into safe DC power to fully charge batteries. An onboard microcomputer monitors and controls this charging process to minimize power loss and maximize efficiency. The included mounting bracket with hook-and-loop strap lets you mount the unit in an enclosed compartment, garage, or workspace.

NOCO GENIUS10 Charging Times for Battery Sizes

The table above provides a quick reference for how long it will take the unit to charge some different battery sizes.

Rugged Weatherproof Design

NOCO GENIUS10 Rugged Weatherproof Housing

The Genius10 smart charger comes with over-molded connection points to protect the unit from dirt, dust, and water. The unit has an IP65 rating, meaning the housing is considered "dust tight" and protected against water sprayed from a nozzle. A durable X-connect plug ensures a weathertight connection when attaching the clamps to the charger.

The housing is made from tough Lexan resin that protects the internal electronics against impacts. The unit can handle being dropped, kicked over, and just about anything else your day brings.

Interchangeable X-Connect Accessories

NOCO GENIUS10 X-Connect Accessories for Versatile Charging Solutions

This Genius smart charger features a unique X-Connect plug that lets you disconnect the battery clamps and attach other X-Connect accessories (all sold separately) for versatile plug-and-play charging solutions. Add an extension cord to increase your connections reach, or use the 12V female plug to connect and power 12V accessories. Access your vehicle's battery through charging ports with the OBDII connector, or the 12V male plug. With a large variety of available accessories this battery charger can be outfitted to meet your application's specific charging needs.

Exactly like the description it is easy to use and I'm happy I bought it. I used it on three marine deep cycle 12-volt batterers to charge them and the maintain them for winter so I can reinstall in RV in the spring.

Good price,fast shipping,great product.

It has been a great charger for me It is compact and has charged all my batteries faster than all the other chargers I have had.

by:

The NOCO Genius 10 is a solid, well-built product that is compact and easy to use. We are using it as a battery maintainer/trickle charger via the cigarette lighter adapter. Very pleased with this purchase!

by:

My noco genius charger is working great. I’ve had it a year now and am very happy with its results. I like it’s nice compact size.

by:

The charger has operated flawlessly for almost a year.

Excellent addition to our Scamp trailer stuff. Etrailer advice and service was excellent.

Great - everything Id hoped for

by:

We have had this charger for about a year now. We use it to recharge batteries for the camper and boat, and maintain them over the off season. It has worked great to charge both our conventional wet cell and AGM 12 volt batteries. It charges the batteries in a reasonable amount of time and, due to the "smart" multi-stage charging technology built into the charger, we do not have to worry about over charging the batteries. I highly recommend this charger.

by:

8 months after purchasing my NOCO Genius the battery on my truck went dead, best I could get was a little clicking, no lights, radio, nothing. My first thought was a lose connection however after checking and finding everything in order I hooked up the NOCO, turned it on and fired the truck right up. This was my first experience with this type of device and did not know what to expect, I was completely impressed by how well the NOCO Genius worked! It is a must have and will always be a part of my onboard took kit!

by:

simple to use, relatively fast charging. Particularly like that it has both alligator clamps and ring terminals. "Intelligent" charge controller quickly charges a dead battery but also dials back to trickle charges then off when full for better battery life (and less evaporation on non-sealed batteries) so you can leave the battery attached for optimum over winter storage.

by:

I like that it's weather proof and has selectable charging. It charges car batteries quickly, but I mostly use it to charge the chassis batteries in my motorhome while it's in storage. The only negative I've found is that it doesn't handle Arizona summers, but I haven't found a charger that does. I use it for a few hours early in the morning and that seems to be sufficient. I installed the NOCO eyelet terminal accessory on each set of batteries.

by:

It has saved us money now that we know you can't let the battery go died. This set up is a life saver at keeping our battery charged

by:

Not sure why they chose the name "Genius" since it turns out I had to do a fair bit of button pushing to set it to charge my 6v battery. It also runs very hot.
Supposedly, however, it will remember that setting next time.
Finally, The instructions are not only poorly written, they're printed in a very small font. I normally do not have to use a magnifying glass to read instructions. There's plenty of room in the elaborate packaging so I cannot understand why they couldn't have made it much bigger. Not sure this item was the best choice for maintaining my batteries.

by:

The battery charger has meet expectations. However, what has really exceeded expectations was etrailer.com’s customer service! Thanks for your help!

by:

Great packaging. Works fantastic. Very easy to follow instructions.

by:

Wow! Your delivery and tracking system is excellent, very personal and accurate. My new battery charger is here and currently (yes pun intended) in use on my RV.

by:

Absolutely the best, and easiest, battery charger I have ever used.

by:

Works Great!

by:

Delay in shipping due to product availability. Communication from etrailer was excellent and consistent.

by:

This charger get the job done. It also shuts off when the battery is fully charged as well which means the battery won't be over charged.

by:

It works! It’s easy to use.

by:

Bought two of these for a cars why we were away for an extended time last winter. They worked flawlessly and cars started right up when we returned.Highly recommend these for keeping battery like new.

by:

Works very well and as described.

by:

Works great 1 year later. No issues here. Would buy again.

by:

Awesome device. I use it for my evening and my mototcycle

by:

Nice little charger with a lot of nice features. So far so good.

  • What Length Extension Cord Can I Use With The NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger
Every extra foot of cord adds more electrical resistance. This means when you tried to charge your truck battery with the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger - AC to DC - 6V/12V - 10 Amp, part # 329-GENIUS10, attached to an 100' extension cord, you were trying to send current through 106' feet of cord. • Which Battery Works Best to Power Husky Brute Electric Trailer Jack HT87248
I can't say for certain which type of battery our customer had on their trailer when we installed the Husky Brute Electric Trailer Jack # HT87247, but 12V deep cycle batteries are most commonly used on these types of trailers because they are able to produce the most amp hours. Because there are so many factors that impact how long a 12V battery can last on a trailer application, it makes it nearly impossible to estimate how long one will last before needing to be replaced. Depending on what voltage and amp hours you're looking for, there are a few ways to wire your 6 batteries. To get the 12V output that most RVs use, you'll want to wire the first to batteries in a series configuration and the rest in a parallel configuration.
