Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the NOCO AC Port Plug with extension cord. So basically the time when you would be using this would be any time you have to bring an extension cord into your vehicle, maybe you're running it up into your enclosed trailer and typically you have it going through the ramp or maybe going through the door and it's just not the most ideal situation. This is going to replace that issue. It's going to make it so that you have an external place to plug in that female end, so you can plug it in there and then have another female end coming out inside your vehicle.
Works out well for Marine applications too because this plug is going to keep out any water, dirt or debris from getting into that plug and causing any electrical issues and everything is sealed up really nicely. It's all waterproof water tight so we don't have to worry about anything with that.A lot of people use these for heaters or block heaters in their trucks. So you can mount this plug on the front, maybe on your grill somewhere and have that easy place to plug into rather than again, having to run a cord underneath your hood. So really anywhere that it's passing through a door that you don't want to have open all the time, this is going to replace that. I've seen these go on battery boxes as well, getting you power in or out.
It's just a really easy way to run through that wall.We have our plug. This is going to be six feet long and that's the cable length so that's going from where it comes out on our plug to this point on the other side. We have six feet of cable to work with. Our plug is going to be about three inches and an eighth in diameter. It does require a two inch diameter hole to fit into.
And then we'll just push all of our wire in, push this into place and it should hold out pretty well. And then we'll also get our self tapping screws to tighten everything down. So really easy install. It looks nice. It's very low profile. All you'll have sticking out is going to be this portion here.
So it's really nice and hidden, stays out of the way. We've got our nice thick plug to plug everything up. I think this is going to be a great addition to just about any situation you'd have it in.It's made of a 14 AWG. So 14 gauge copper wire. So we'll get good current flow going through our wires here, full AC prongs inside that plug for the male ends will give good connectivity. It's a rugged design. As far as the other specs with this, the recessed depth is about one and 13/16ths. So just shy of two inches. And that's going from this face to the back here where that wiring comes out. Our overall depth is going to be two and an eighth inch. The amp rating for this is 15 amps. The voltage rating is 125 volts and it does come with a one-year limited warranty and it is UL approved. All in all, I think this is great idea, great system. If you want the same thing, but with a shorter extension cord, we also have that available here at etrailer.com. So definitely check that out. But that's going to do it for our look at the NOCO AC port plug with six foot extension cord..

Low-profile port plug lets you create a pass-through outlet for easy access to an AC charging port on your truck, boat, RV, or trailer. Pressure-fit cap provides a waterproof seal.Seems like a good product but there is a weep hole at the back of the plug so any water that gets into the plug behind the rubber grommet will leak into the trailer, seems like they could have simply pitched the bottom and have it weep to the outside. No doubt that I will plug the weep hole and fabricate something to make it work better. Other than that it looks solid. I have not installed it yet.
Nice…..just needs to be designed for “real” cold……I live above the arctic circle…..
Used this to add a plug in port for my engine block heater. Works really well. Both the port and the cord are stout and well made.
Works great.
first the shipping was next day delivery. the hitch was a weight distribution hitch that was very heavy shipping. The 6' hinge was in perfect shape. This order says a lot not only on the product but the excellent packing ahd fast shipping.
