7-Way to 4-Way Round Wiring Adapter to Flat Tow a 2001 Honda CR-V
Question:
On my Sterling Tow bar the wiring harness has two four pole round connectors. I would like to keep this harness and adapt it to a seven blade mount on the motorhome, and the other end would need to be plugged into a female mount on the car I will purchase one of the diode lighting kits for the car and take off the flat four pole connector and connect the wires to the four pole round female receptacle that I would purchase if such a thing is available. Do you stock a four pole round female receptacle, and an adapter that would be a seven blade to four poleround configuration?

Expert Reply:
We do indeed carry a 7-Way blade style to 4-Way round adapter. It is # HM47043. This is a coiled cable that can stretch to 8 feet long. The 7-Way end plugs into the RV and the 4-Way end to the vehicle. The diode kit you mentioned is # 154-792-118158. For a 4-Way receptacle to mount on the front of the CR-V use # PK11410.
It looks like you will have to pull fuses to flat tow the CR-V. Consult the owners manual to confirm. To avoid having to pull a fuse every time you can install a fuse bypass, # RM76511. I have linked the instructions for you.
