Installed on a 2017 NuCamp Tag XL. Needed a little extra head room for the kitchen clamshell. Install was easy with basic tools, a couple jack stands, tape measure and some red loctite. Lift height is as claimed because it directly lifts the axle. Product has worked great, nothing has come loose or shifted. Stability towing has not changed. The only trouble is the wiring for the fender light is a little tight but that is a camper issue, no fault of the lift.

Great product. Several thousand miles since install with no issues. Did not change the towability or handling characteristics of the camper.

by:

Very easy to put on, took about 2 hrs. Make sure you order the correct sized one. Don't just go by the axle number measure the frame width and distance between the holes. Makes a big difference on what my camper can clear and the size of dips I can get thru without hitting. Get a few extra blocks for the stabilizer.

by:

Easy install and was happy with the extra clearance

by:

It's expensive for what you get, although the quality is nice. It did the job on my Bushwhacker teardrop.

Very easy to install. Took me about 30 minutes.

by:

Ordering was easy. Shipping was on time. Communication on shipping was good.
The kit appeared to well made. Didn't see any issues upon opening. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The only thing was the bolts and nuts, I don't know if they have some sort of locktite or something on them but I had to wrench them from the first two turns to the end, and really had to work at it as they were incredibly tight. At first I thought that either I had cross threaded them or that the bolt and nut were different threads, neither was an issue. It took me probably twice to three times longer to install the kit because of this. It was easier to take off the very rusted original bolts than putting the new ones on.
The final results were excellent.

by:

excellent kit....plenty of extra clearance for dirt roads that may not be graded or leveled perfectly. Sits higher in the tow position which levels out the trailer at a normal height instead of having to use a severe drop hitch.

by:

Items ordered were received in good condition and the install went very smooth. Customer service was top notch since there were back ordered items and options were presented. Would definitely recommend using e trailer.

This lift kit works as expected. No issues and added the extra ground clearance I was looking for

by:

Worked perfectly to give my 2010 Jayco pop up camper some extra ground clearance. The only difficulty was tightening the nuts and bolts. Getting them threaded and started was easy but then was met with a lot of resistance.
Using a socket and closed end wrench proved difficult but finally had success by using to closed end wrenches together.

by:

Horrible customer service delivery was two after the delivery date was emailed. Would not recommend

by:

Saw this link on [another] site. Didn’t know it existed. Ordered one right away. Shipped the next day for free! Very easy install. Looks great. Hopefully no more mangled license plate.

by:

I ordered this kit to provide extra room for tires(AM3S120) that have a higher speed rating. Everything shipped quickly! The kit fit perfectly with no problems.

by:

I love my camper, but my only complaint is that it did not have the ground clearance I needed for anything but the best roads. This kit allows me to get off-road, not to very extreme conditions, but much better than it was without it.

by:

Works great! This product comes with all the parts required to bolt on to the camper/axle...

by:

I installed these on a 725T aluminum frame 1999 Terry. They raised the trailer a couple inches which doesn't sound like much but made all the difference in dragin the back bumper, back levelers etc. Couldn't tell any difference in towing or fuel useage. Any ways it wasn't enough to notice. Trailer handled the same. Make sure to cross check fitment with the folks at the store. I didnt originally and paid a hefty restock shipping fee for not doing so. Good luck and Happy Trails

The lift did what I needed it to do. I havent noticed any difference in towing. A few inches makes a big difference. Installed on 2000 25fleetwood terry.

by:

It was a easy fix to lift my 1988 Jayco, about 2 hours including finding and placingthe jack stands, didn’t have to take off the wheels like the video recommends, used wrenches instead of hooking up air and using the impact gun! Looks great when I kick back and look at it!

Worked out great on the lift kit

by:

Well the package arrived in time but none of the nuts only go on the bolt about two turns and that is it? Totally disappointed? I can't even install the kit. What's really sad is this is factory kit from Dexter Axel the company that made my trailer axels. I will call etrailer tomorrow and try to get this straightened out.

by:

What my trailer needed and at a better price than the manufacture.

by:

Item came as described. Very stout hardware. Dexter must have fixed the powder coat issue(some reported chipping upon arrival), because the item was fully coated with no paint chips .

This gave me a good lift so that my trailer would not drag everywhere I went. This went on a 1993 Skamper 240C. Install is very easy. 4 bolts to drop the axle. 8 bolts to attach the lift.

Definitely recommend for #9 axle. You can identify yours by crawling underneath the trailer and looking at the capacity. 2000 lbs is #9. Which is this part!

by:

They work just as advertised. I used them to lift a T@G teardrop, and the installation was very straightforward. Together with the new, larger tires and wheels I am putting on (going from 13" to 15" wheels), I will pick up just over 4" in additional ground clearance.

by:

Installed this about a year ago. Simple and sturdy with good quality. Everything you need is there. Installation took about 30 minutes. My trailer is used for overlanding so this part has proven itself on rough trails and mostly off pavement action.

I probably could have used a taller lift but thats purely personal preference.

by:

I have a 2019 Geo Pro FBS without the off-road package. The Geo Pro had 14" wheels. The ground clearance was not that great so I went with this 3" Torflex lift kit.
Now when I say that the installation was easy, that is exactly that. Super easy and it did come with an installation booklet with step by step photos.
Total install time: 1 hr 30 min. That is start to finish.
Total height that I gained: over 5 inches. Because I went with 225/ 75/ 15R.
This is the best route to go toget the extra needed clearance.

by:

My Forest River "mini lite" trailer axles wimped out, and the trailer was just about sitting on top of the tires, would rub even if the water tank was full. New axles were out of the question so I got two of these lift kits. problem solved , not a hard install. If you're not sure which axle you have take a picture of the sticker on the axle and call Dexter they will tell you so you can order the right lift kit.

by:

Installed this kit on a 2015 Little Guy Silver Shadow 5 x 10. Kit was easily to install (note this application required rotating the brackets orientation, open side faces inward).

Note: The first order did not make it due to UPS(lost in transit). Etrailer sent a replacement out the same day.

Made a huge difference. Love and result

  • Determining Correct Suspension Lift Kit Needed for Dexter Torflex Axle on 2016 Lance 1575 Camper
It isn't any fun hearing that, is it? If your 2017 Lance 1575 has Dexter #9 Torflex axles with a 2,000-lb capacity, the Dexter # K71-723-01 lift kit would be the correct lift kit. If you have the # 10 Torlflex axle, you'd need # K71-707-01. Keep in mind, these kits aren't compatible if your axle has the high profile 3 inch tall frame brackets. If you're unsure of what axle your camper has, please send me a photo of the label or tag on the axle, and we can find that out for you.

We don't have any way of knowing specifically what axle is on a 2002 Jayco Kiwi, so to determine the right lift kit you'll have to take a look at the axle tag to see what it specifies. If you have a Dexter Torflex #10 you would need the Torflex Lift Kit - Tandem Axle # K71-707-02. For a Dexter Torflex #9 you would need two of the Torflex Lift Kit - Single Axle # K71-723-01. You may be able to add larger tires if you use a lift kit, though you would also have to get different wheels for the tires to fit. When you lift a trailer you potentially change the suspension geometry which might affect handling characteristics.
