Raise Your Trailer's Ride Height

Newer trucks are being built to ride higher. This means that your trailer may have to be raised to match. If the two aren't the same height at the connection point, the nose of your trailer or RV is going to ride too high. This will put too much weight on the rear of your trailer, which can result in poor handling and may eventually cause damage.

The Correct Track helps to solve this problem by lifting your trailer or RV 1-1/4" or 2-1/4", which provides a level towing setup for taller trucks. This added lift is also great for 5th-wheel trailers that might have trouble clearing tall pickup bed side rails.

Correct Misaligned Axles and Suspension

If the tires on your RV or trailer are wearing down quickly and prematurely, there's a good chance your axle is out of alignment. Driving with a misaligned axle for long periods of time will shorten the life of your tires, reduce your gas mileage, and can make it difficult to steer your rig. A misaligned axle is often caused by an imbalance of weight, which can result from simply using the slide-out on your 5th wheel or having heavy appliances positioned on one side.

The Correct Track integrates into your trailer's suspension system and shifts the axle back into proper alignment. This kit allows you to adjust the axle alignment by 1/4" increments for a properly aligned suspension. It will correct your RV or trailer's alignment whether the axle needs to be moved forward or backward.

The listing for this product was confusing. I thought I was ordering the LCI kit, even double checked part numbers, they are the same. What I got was a kit by The Mobil Outfitters. Maybe they are part of LCI, I don’t now..... But, now I know why this kit is cheaper than the LCI kit, I performs the same function, but it’s a little crude. They supply grade 5 standard bolts where the LCI kit has the nice shoulder bolts. I guess I should have looked really hard at the picture, because the parts are displayed as you will get them.

Another big gripe for me was that the reinforced spring slot has its inside reinforcement plate slightly out of alignment with the main plate. Did not realize this until I forced a bolt through and ruined the fine threads on a bolt.

It gets the job done, just not as refined as the LCI kt.

All the parts are quality made, but I had to replace the axle and didn't need to use the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit.

Great customer service from beginning to delivery.

by:

Good product, but even better customer service from etrailer. During installation, I realized 4 of the brackets in the sealed box were incorrect. With both axles dropped and our family leaving on vacation in a week, etrailer rep contacted the manufactured and had the correct parts in my hand in just a few days. Thanks for the great service!!

by:

These have been on the camper for about a year and are working great. The only modification I made was to weld the top of the correct track to the spring perches after installation, as they moved just slightly and I wanted to be sure they did not.

by:

This is the greatest product to align trailer axles. I have noticed that it is becoming standard on newer trailers. If you have never checked your axle alignment for a tandem setup then you might be off. My new trailer in 2014 was off a full 1 1/2 inches. This is for a friend's trailer that is off so much you can't put your hand between the tires. This is a "MUST" have.

by:

I was very impressed with the customer service provided by Ashley E. at etrailer concerning a recent order. She kept a tab on the status of an item that was on indefinate backorder, and made sure I received it as soon as it could be delivered, keeping me informed via email and phone calls. thank you so much Ashley!!

by:

Good concept ..........easy enough to install.......... Missing bolts, some of the Slots for bolts needed to be Filed before installation.............Expected more Quality Control for that kind of money and only 6# of iron. Also the bolts are only Grade #5 and not the normal grade #8 of other shackle bolts.

by:

The product itself was good once I was able to find the appropriate bolts.
6 of the bolts were too short to use
I had to purchase 6 bolts and nuts from a specialty tire shop.
At a additional cost of $39.99, plus drive time.
Also, the package did not come with any directions.

  • LIft Kit for Trailer to Raise 2-1/4 inches
For a lift kit that can give your trailer a lift of up to 2-1/4 inches we have the part # LC87120 which comes with all parts to lift a single axle. If your trailer was a tandem axle you'd need a quantity of two of these. If you do need new leaf springs I'd need to know the length of your current ones and the capacity of your trailer axles. Measure from spring eye center to eye center with no weight on trailer.

  • Recommended Tandem Axle Trailer Lift
I may have a solution for you to lift your tandem axle trailer, but the Lippert Correct Track System # LC87120 is being re-designed and currently unavailable without a timetable for it returning to production. With that said, you can still get the 2" lift that you would have gotten with this kit by using the Tandem Axle Lift Kit # RR23QX. This kit extends the length of the hangers in your suspension system to provide up to 2-1/4" of lift in a tandem axle setup.

  • Can You Install Longer Shackle Straps on Single Axle Trailer for More Lift
I do have an option for you but changing the shackle strap length will change the whole suspension geometry so that's not recommended unless changing other components such as the leaf springs. Furthermore, 3-1/8" is the longest length used on most trailers. I instead recommend using a leaf springer hanger extension kit like the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit part # LC87120 which will provide a lift of 1-1/4" or 2-1/4" as well as correct a misaligned trailer axle if present.

  • Over/Under Conversion Lift Kit for 2001 BigTex Model 30SA-8 Single Axel 2.427 diameter.
You mentioned your axle diameter being 2.42 inches which is pretty close to 2-3/8 inches so you could use the Over-Under kit part # K71-384-00 potentially if you can remeasure and confirm that's what your axle diameter is. Or you could use the Correct Track Single Axle Lift Kit part # LC87120 which works on any single axle trailer to give a lift of up to 2-1/4 inches.

  • How to Lift a Trailer w/out an Axle Flip Kit
Yes, there is. You can use the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR23QX. This kit is for tandem axle trailers and mounts to your spring hangers. It moves the attachment point down 1-1/4" or 2-1/4". For a triple axle trailer you will want to use the Correct Track item # RR55QX and item # LC87120 for a single axle trailer.

There would need to be two brackets per hanger so the Single axle Correct Track kit # LC87120 would only need four brackets to mount on both sides of the hangers. A tandem axle trailer # RR23QX would have 3 hangers per side and require 12 brackets and a triple axle trailer # RR55QX would have 4 hangers per side, requiring 16 total brackets. • Recommended Solution To Get 5 Lift on Trailer With 9000-lbs Axles
I may have a solution for you, but there's not going to be a simple way to accomplish this and at the end of the day, it may be more cost effective to simply try getting a new 5th wheel hitch that adjusts high enough to allow you to tow level. With that said, your best bet would be to start by elongating the spring hangers, which will require cutting the old ones off and replacing them with longer ones. The simplest lift kit solution for your 1997 Coleman Key West Pop Up camper would be the Correct Track single axle lift kit part # LC87120 which can give you a lift of up to 2-1/4 inches and doesn't require you to know your axle diameter. The only way to determine if there's an over-under kit that would work would be for you to let me know the diameter of your axles.

  • Lifting a Utility Trailer for Compatibility with Lifted Jeep
You can raise your trailer about 2 more inches using the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and 2" Lift Kit - Single Axle # LC87120. Then you can also add longer hangers if you prefer. We do have long hangers like # 115919 which are the longest option we have. New springs or blocks is not a good option. You will probably need to use a ball mount with a drop to allow you to tow level. I've attached a link to the options and have also attached an article to help you with measuring for fit.

  • How To Confirm Fit of Lippert Components Tandem Axle Lift Kit
The lift kit I recommend for a Jayco Eagle 321RSTS is the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit part # LC87120 which will extend the hangers to provide up to a 2-1/4" lift. It can also help correct misaligned axles. The other option is an over/under kit like part # K71-384-00 or part # K71-385-00. This is assuming the trailer axles are not already flipped.

  • Recommended Lift Kit For a 5' X 8' Single Axle Trailer To Install Larger Wheels and Tires
I recommend the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # LC87120 that will allow you to raise your suspension 2-1/4". If you were to extend the shackle strap it would be a very long strap and would put the leaf spring at an angle that would affect how the spring compress since it will be angled forward and not relatively flat to the ground.

  • Hub Bearings, Brake Assemblies, and Lift Kit for Trailer with 3,500 lb Axles
Since we know your trailer axle is a 3,500 lb axle the correct bearing kit is the part # BK2-100. Then for brake assemblies you'd want the part # AKEBRK-35-SA and you'd be set. Then for a lift kit you'd want the part # LC87120.

  • Can 5th Wheel Camper be Lifted for to Allow Trailer to Sit Level
If possible you could raise the pin box in the frame of your trailer to allow the nose to sit lower, but you have to make sure you keep at least 4-6 inches between the bed rails and the trailer overhang for this and your pin box may already be in the highest position. For a lift kit that would give your trailer an additional 2-1/4 inches of suspension height we have the Correct Track part # LC87120 which would work great.

This would lift the trailer by the height of the leaf spring stack and diameter of the axle. You could also use the Lippert Components Standard Axle Lift Kit # LC425750 to lift the trailer 1.88". I do have an option for you but the square tube slider bases won't work with the Reese Titan 5th Wheel Hitch Head.
