Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

P2-Rated or P3-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for P2 rated light

A P2-rated or P3-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

I have 3rd set of optronics on one boat trailer and the second set on the other boat trailer. In the past year the boats were launched a total 12 times. These newer sets with the coated circuit boards and the 'lite pipes' are working better but not perfect. I have a few LEDs 'out on each side on each trailer. We lived in hope but I guess this is the best we can expect? Thanks Tom

by:

The mounts broke on the plastic housing where the bolts attch the lights to the trailer. This was only used a few times on a boat trailer with light use and stored in climate controlled garage. I have replaced them with another set.

by:

Just what I needed. Had to drill some new mounting holes but these fit perfect.

by:

Not exactly like the factory light, but close enough & installed easily.

by:

Factory wire leads need to be a little longer and ground wire needs to have a ring terminal with an integral heat shrink wrap. The open crimped ring terminal with exposed wire provided on this light will quickly corrode and fall apart on a boat trailer when exposed to salt water immersion. Otherwise, a good quality LED light.

by:

It was very hard to find what I needed , which I did not find. I ended up with an LED version of my needs and settled for this which worked. However I now have an OEM tail light and a new LED light. It worked so I will live with it.

by:

Eact replacement to my coastline trailer. Passenger still rocking!! Now just need my drivers side replaced

by:

Great value for the money

by:

I used these to add auxiliary tail, turn, and stop lights to my pickup truck. I'm very pleased with the results. Hopefully they'll get people's attention.

by:

I needed to replace some of the lights on my boat trailer. The old light were incandescent and some of the bulbs had burned out, securing screws were rusted. Product was exactly what I was looking for. Links on each product web page provided very good description and product information.

Thank you for great selection and process.

I am very happy, the lights are working great, with no issues. Thank you

by:

Light worked great up to about two weeks ago. Running light portion of light stopped working. Still have brake and turn single light works. A bit disappointed the full function of tail light does not work. With only a year and less than 400 miles on trailer since tail light was installed.

I recommend to first make sure the ground wire of the light is is attached to a clean metal surface on the trailer frame. A bad ground will intermittently cause one of the functions to not work properly. If the ground of the trailer does not prove to be adequate you could run it up to the ground circuit of the trailer connector.

by:

This light was a much needed upgrade on my boat trailer to make it look more modern and not so old. It is very bright, fit right into the existing holes I used for the old lights and wiring it up could be easier! Have yet to dunk it in the water but I'm sure it will be just fine! Great Product!

These lights are awesome. They survived a year of launching the boat over the summer and Im sure theyll survive much more. Bright as well!

by:

I got these led lights to replace my original trailer lights. Easy to install and a lot brighter, definitely recommend them for anyone wanting to replace there old trailer lights.

Everything worked out great. Trailer lights are LED bright and are easy to see. Good service and a competitively priced product.

by:

Taillight matched my other trailer light perfectly. Saved me from buying a whole new set. Shipping was super fast and I would suggest your company to anyone who needs trailer products. Will definitely buy from E-trailer again. Thanks

Actually the lights say they are submersible, but they actually leaked and blew out most of the led bulbs. Would not purchase again.

by:

Bright and easy to hook up.

by:

Product as described and quick shipping. One small item, the carriage bolt fasteners that were supplied were SS material but the nuts weren't. SS is a must for me in salt water service. Otherwise excellent.

by:

Super tail light! Easy replacement for stock tail light. Took me about 10 minutes to install including soldering leads. I always solder because crimp on connectors always corrode on a boat trailer. Had I used crimp on connectors, would have taken 5 minutes. The LED is bright and easy to see even in bad weather.

by:

Purchased a set of these lights as replacement/upgrades on my existing standard boat trailer lights. These LEDs lights perform exactly as described. They are completely water tight. After one full year of use, they perform as well as the day I installed them.

by:

Excellent price, fast delivery and great service.

by:

Excellent product, Easy to install and electrical hookup. It replaced a busted LED tail light. I leave my trailer lights plugged in when I launch the boat into salt water and have had no problems with the light malfunctioning. Very good light.

by:

The LED trailer lights truly do make a world of difference. The only thing that I do have to say that is not a positive, is the fact that I had to drill out my mounting brackets on my trailer so these would properly fit. In other words the factory holes on my trailer did not match the aftermarket product. As far as the LED light visibility goes, again there truly is no comparison. The LED lights rock

by:

There were a perfect fit replacement for my 1992 Tracker Trailstar boat trailer. It had Wesbar 3348 tailights on it. These look exactly the same but they have sealed LED capsules inside. It was gonna be the same price to replace the old style bulb capsules in the Wesbar's as it was to but these whole brand new sealed LED tails. The are very clear and bright. Huge improvement!

by:

Flawless throughout the year bouncing along the highway and loading and unloading my boat in frigid water. Twice as bright as my previous "sealed capsule" tail lights, which I would have had to replace 2-3 times in that period.

Wish I had found them years ago!

  • Troubleshooting Tail Light Issue on a Trailer
There are a few different things that could cause taillight failure. Issues that you will want to look for are a weak ground connection, a short on the taillight wire or a possible issue on the vehicle side. To start, I like to test the trailer connector on the tow vehicle to make sure power is reaching the trailer. I recommend using a circuit tester with an incandescent bulb, like part # PTW2992. You will want to test the pin on the trailer connector for the taillight function. If you...
