Great replacement for the original incandescent tail light on my 1997 Shorelander boat trailer. Same hole pattern, so no drilling.

Great-The lights fit my trailer like the factory lights so I like that as every thing on my 1988 SeaRay boat, motor, and trailer is original except some motor parts replacements with manufacturers parts.

The LED lamp assembly works very well and is water proof. However I put these on my boat trailer about 4 years ago and both sides have a problem that the LED assembly fell out of the housing. There is only 1 little screw holding the LED assembly in the lens. I also lost the housing on one side of the boat trailer. I had to drill holes in the lens and back plate and add tie-wraps to hold the LED assembly in place. This needs to be improved upon.
In the pictures you will notice that I added tie-wraps to the new light.
WOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!! These lights are BY FAR the brightest I have ever seen! Even with only the tailights on, they are STUNNINGLY INTENSE! Can't go wrong getting them, easy to install, solidly (REAL SOLID) built, look like they are very durable too. Absolutely and totally impressed and well worth the money. Put other LED and incandescent lights to shame!! JUST BUY THEM, YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY HAPPY!!
Replaced the jet ski trailer light perfectly! Lighting is much brighter than the stock incandescent bulb in all modes and light disbursement is very good, even from the sides. The license plate light comes on with the parking lights and is over-kill in lighting up the area below (that is NOT a complaint)!

As per my other review, love these super-bright lights!
the light is a great replacement light for any trailer. typical of all trailer break lights the red clear lens is fragile and cracks easy.
I want to thank you for all your help with my trailer you were more helpful than you realize. So this is my trailer for a 22' Flats Cat shallow draft Catamaran. I totally dismantled my trailer and buffed by hand with a wire buffer and sand blasted in some spots and applied multiple coats of some very expensive galvanize paint (Z.R.C.). I installed all new C. E. Smith Carpet (about 80'), seven new LED waterproof lights, new springs, new equalizers, new tongue jack, new wench, new safety chain, new chain brackets, all new SS hardware and a 35' long wiring harness.
I was able to send only one review with a picture of the safety chain and brackets. I'm having a little trouble with the rest..oh some of these items were bought locally or from your competitors, until I found ETRAILER. Your prices were cheaper for the exact same things. Your helpful how to videos were helpful. And Rose, your personal helpful knowledge made my buying experience very pleasant, I actually enjoyed talking to you! Still working great. No problems at all. Nice to back into the lake and not worry the lights are burnt out..
I have been more than pleased with the quality and performance of the Optronics brand lights! These are no exception!
This tail light assembly is a direct replacement on my ShoreLander trailer. The running lights, including four on the side, are a nice feature. The brake/signal light are more intense as expected. Lastly, the dimensions and mounting holes allowed me to bolt them into place without issue!
I, like others, am amazed at the brightness of the lights. They are a huge upgrade over my existing incandescent lamps! I am looking forward to no more burnt/broken bulbs!
I have purchased Optronics tailslights in the past, and am purchasing again as I like the quality/performance of the taillight assemblies. I would buy again and I would recommend to others as well!
Just installed new lights. I think these are a nice, very bright LED light but they shipped without any mounting hardware. I would excpect that for the price it would of come with the licence plate holder and at the very least mounting screws and nuts. It added an extra hour and several more bucks to this project to hunt them down at the Home Depot. I will see in time how the lights hold up in salt water

I ordered this lamp because I am thinking LEDs will not be affected by the submerged in water. I had incandescent lamps that burst when submerged because the housing was not watertight

I ordered these LED Trailer tail lights (STL57RB and STL56RB) for my 1988 Shorelander trailer. I was having a hard time matching the dimensions of my worn out lights. These new lights fit perfectly. They were easy to install, but if you have questions the etrailer.com web site has resources including videos that can assist you. LED is the way to go. These lights are much brighter than the old incandescent model.

Bought these to retrofit my 2004 Shoreland'r boat trailer. etrailer's price was very competitive, they shipped exactly when they promised and the lights arrived quickly thereafter. The website description was accurate and provided exact dimensions so lights fit just as expected. Installation was fast and easy with the fasteners provided. I had heard rumors about LEDs not working properly with some 2004 GM electrical systems but there was no problem with these. Very satisfied with the product and the supplier.

Theyre still functioning properly after numerous submersions and many milesof road vibration. So far, so good: Would recommend to others.
After I kicked the light one day at the launch ramp, breaking the lens, I was delighted to find that i could just order the necessary lens - which came with new electronics at a decent price from etrailer. Now a year later, it is all working well - whenever we manage to get to the water - and it has maintained it's waterproof status after many dunks in the salt chuck. Good product and fine service.

Lights continue to work well. I have adopted the policy of unplugging the light before dunking it underwater. Of course, I also had to train myself to plug it back in before getting on the road - thats what a check list is for, I imagine.
This trailer tail light is a perfect fit. This is the best upgrade I have done to my boat trailer. They are very bright, both parking and brake. I am very happy with this product. Shipping was very fast and I will be back to upgrade the rest of my trailer lights. Job well done!

Very happy after a year. Great products. Very bright and submersible, what more do you need?Highly recommended, you wont be sorry!Nice not to have a big draw from trailer lights on your electrical system.I cant say enough about them.
Have used this for over a year and the lights have been great. I've pulled the boat trailer over 5000 miles and launched / retrieved the boat dozens of times in saltwater and freshwater with no signs of corrosion or any failed LEDs.

Its been 2 years now, a couple dozen more launches in fresh and salt water, and 9000+ miles since I installed the lights and not so much as a failed LED. Very good product.
