Specs:
A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.
Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.
It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.
Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number BD155028. This is the bulldog round, a-frame trailer jack. The dependable jack is recognized as industry standard for agricultural and commercial applications. It's ASABE compliant. It's going to features a static capacity of 3,000 pounds with a lift capacity of 2,000 pounds. The jacks also going to feature precision fitted parts, which is going to provide exceptional stability and reliability.
It can be welded or bolted to any standard a-frame coupler. It's got a 3 mount hole design. Your mounting hardware is not included. The jack is going to be made from a steel construction. The out tube and the inner tube are going to feature zinc plated finish so that's going to really stand up well against rusting and corrosion. Here at the top we have our top wind handle.
That's going to feature a nice, smooth, ergonomic design for easy cracking. It's got the nice easy grip knob for secure hold when operating the jack. Now when the handles not being used it can be rotated over to a stowed position. Just like that. Kind of keeps it our of the way.
As you can see on this jack it does not come with a caster or foot plate. Those items are sold separately. It does have the connection point down here that way you can easily get it installed. Those items if needed can be found right here a etrailer.com. The outer tube on the units going to have a diameter of 2.25 of an inch. Inner tube diameter's going to be 2 inches.
A few measurements to go over with you real quick. With it in the fully retracted position it's going to give us a bracket height measurement, measuring from the ground to that mounting bracket, of 8 3/8 of an inch. With it fully extended that measurement actually increases to 23 3/8 of an inch, which gives this jack a lift, or travel measurement, of 15 inches. Measuring from the top of the bracket to the top of that handle mount mechanism, to this point right here, that's going to give us a measurement of about 14 3/8 of an inch. Then when I did a measurement to the top of the handle that measured about 15 1/2 inches from the top of the bracket. That's going to do it for today's look at part number BD155028.

After supporting the hitch with some blocks of wood, I removed three bolts, switched the old Jack with the new and replaced the bolts. The new jack looks great and operates smoothly.
My order was accurately filled and shipped quickly. I have dealt with etrailer for several years and they have always provided good value.
This is for Item BD155028. It was perfect and just what I needed to replace the damaged jack on my trailer.
I had to replace the A-Frame Jack on my car trailer after our oldest daughter, almost 50, backed into the tongue of the trailer when visiting and bent the leg :-) . I contacted etrailer and spoke with Kristin D and ordered the same Bulldog Topwind 15" Lift jack that got damaged and It was a simple task to swap it out. The folks at etrailer are wonderful to deal with. Kristin was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Another Great experience with etrailer.
This Bulldog trailer jack BD155028 works great. It runs much easier than the original jack and was a breeze to install. The folks at E Trailer were very proactive and kept in touch about the status of my order. Their information was organized and easy to find, so I was sure that I was ordering the right item for the job.
Jack kit and operated as expected. Damage to the shipping box and the label on the jack was torn, but no real damage to the jack. etrailer made a price match to another online company. I found that my extension foot from my previous jack (some other brand) would not fit this jack, so I had to order a new one. It looks like the BD500377 part should work.
My place of employment uses Bulldog jacks on just about everything, so when I had to get a replacement tongue jack for the Boy Scout troop trailer, the choice was obvious. The jack bolted right up without any issues, and I believe the zinc coated finish should give years of service.
I have purchased many items from etrailer and have always been satisfied with the products that I purchased and the speed of service. The trailer jack that I purchased was a replacement on my Featherlite trailer, fit perfectly and works great!
Purchased to replace a OEM product that was damaged by accident. Fits perfect, operates smooth both lifting/raising our 10’ trailer. Best price found on the internet. Customer service rep I spoke with was extremely helpful giving me options as well as having it shipped faster at no extra charge. Will buy from here again and highly recommend etrailer
Bolted right on. Sits a couple inches lower than the original which interfered with the tail gate. Foot is just about the same height when fully retracted. Nice jack
For the money, it serves its purpose well. It's a jack. As long as it goes up and down smoothly and does not collapse, it's all good.
Had what I needed, shipped on the wkend, came ahead of schedule! What more can you ask!!
My part came in really quickly and was exactly what I ordered. Package very well, and undamaged.
Every time I've ordered you guys have provided me with great service and excellent products thank you again!
Excellent service knowledgeable staff a pleasure to do business with Thanks
Easy ordering process, fast delivery, what’s not to like. I strongly recommend!
This was the third jack for an tandem enclosed cargo trailer that weighs about 7000 pounds loaded. The trailer belongs to a Non-profit living history group of which I am the "Seneschal" which essentially means the guy with the truck big enough to pull the trailer. My responsibilities also include repair and maintenance of all of the gear and the trailer. The original jack was damaged and I had purchased a "speed jack" from another company and installed it last October and did not use the trailer until April of this year. One use and that jack failed. Upon dissection I discovered that the Chinese manufacturer failed to lubricate it and the bearings were rusted and in various stages of disintegration. After a bit of cursing and a bit more internet research I found etrailer. Once I abandoned the idea of a "speed jack" and went with the drop jack, I found that etrailer had what I needed at a competitive price. Calling etrailer lead to a delightful experience rich with excellent customer service with likes of which I have never experienced in my 58 years. I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised when etrailer upgraded my shipping for free. The parts even arrived a day earlier than the upgraded date. I have installed the jack and everything fit as promised. I have attached a picture. I must emphasize that this company has the best customer service that I have ever encountered.
Bulldog jacks used to be made in Wisconsin. Now they’re made in China and it shows. Material is far less robust and the neck below the flange is an inch shorter (3 1/4” vs 4 1/4”) making it unusable on my old Logan trailer. The neck doesn’t extend through the lower brace. I’d give it a lower rating but, in fairness, it’s probably “industry standard” for today and would have worked adequately if the neck was longer. I will have to return it.
etrailer is a great company to order from. I am able to find what I need and the sales team does a great job of communicating information. Carol C. did a great job of letting me know when my order was received, shipped with tracking information and let me know when it was delivered. Thank you etrailer.
Wow this bulldog jack is awesome I use it daily on my concession trailer, easy to use and very durable thanks etrailer.com
Exactly to Jack I needed. The short length from the collar to the bottom end allows he Jack to retract to a length that it is not below the trailer hitch where it won’t catch on. Something. And bend.
After owning an old jack for so many years I bought a new jack. I have had this Bulldog replacement for over a year and the jack is so easy to use and does not need a ton of muscle to get the trailer up and down. It still looks brand new and I love the red knob!!!

Apparently my trailer is a little heavier than I thought. This jack works great and is still lifting my trailer. If I could do it again, Id buy a heavier duty jack with more capacity.
