Jake: Hey guys. Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to get in place, the Stromberg Carlson Hitching Post. This is going to hold your plug for your trailer, and the two chains for your safety chains. It's going to keep them in a more organized way than just draping them over the frame of your trailer. The hitching post is going to fit 2" jack tubes, and 2 1/4" jack tubes. Here we have a 2 1/4" jack tube, and they do include two adapter sleeves to put on the front and back of the assembly, to be able to fit those 2" jack tubes. Here you can see we have it mounted on our electric jack.
It's also going to work for manual jacks. You just have to make sure it's that 2 or 2 1/4" jack tube. The hitching post is going to have a spot for your plug to go, and it'll have a spring loaded cap to be able to keep the elements and dirt and debris out of your plug, so it's going to ensure a better connection when you hook it up to your vehicle. The hooks are nice, because you don't have to drap your hooks over your trailer tongue, so this is going to keep any of this banging away from your trailer, so you don't have to worry about scratching your paint, therefore introducing rust and corrosion. Now that we've gone over some of those features, let's go ahead and show you how we got it in place. You want to make sure you don't pinch your wires. Line up your screw holes, and then insert your screws.
I'm going to take a Phillips head screw driver or a screw gun, and tighten them down. You do want to be careful not to over tighten them, as this piece is plastic. With your screws in place, you can go ahead and lift up on your lid, install your plug, make sure that lid is over the top of the plug to keep it clean, and then take your chains, and hang them on the outside hooks.Well guys, with all that being said, that's going to do it for our look and installation of the Stromberg Carlson Hitching Post.

This bracket lets you keep your trailer's safety chains and 7-way electrical plug up off the ground when you're not towing. This keeps your parts clean and in good condition. It attaches to your 2" or 2-1/4" diameter trailer jack.Item seems to still be holding up to the weather and sun. I do like that my electrical connection and tow chains are no longer hanging all over the frame!
Easy to install. Have received excellent products from etrailer. Only issue I’ve had is the shipping. Would recommend purchasing from etrailer.

This product was so worth it. Every time you use it, it keeps chains and cord organized. Living in a climate of the four seasons, the quality holds up. No cracking or broken off pieces. One year later is like taking it out of the package the first day. I would highly recommend.
It is the little things that make me happy. This is a great value for me, no more chains on the ground and electric plug stays nice and clean away from moisture so terminals want corrode. Very sturdy plastic, fits perfectly. Fast shipping and always a pleasure dealing with Molly and her team. This wasn’t my first purchase from etrailers and it want be my last. Check them out folks, you want be disappointed. They even price matched for me on a previous purchase. etrailers you rock!

Still working flawlessly. Thanks trailer for great customer service!
Great while it lasts but won’t last long. Very cheaply made. Plastic is weak. Need a metallic option or higher quality plastic. Broke after only a month under the weight of the chains on a snowmobile trailer, definitely not heavy chains.
This product is top notch and is easily installed! I love it and will recommend this product to purchase from etrailet

Still looks like new and has withstood heat and cold weather very well.
Cheap plastic. Didn’t last a few weeks and broke around the neck. Needs to be made of metal not plastic. If it were metal, it would be great!
Love how quick and easily it stores the chains, 7-way cord and brake cord. I don’t have to worry about first or rain on the 7 way cord as well.
Simple and functional. Very pleased
extremely easy to install and keeps the trailer chains and plug off the ground
Fits great and helps organize my trailer connectors.
I was very happy with your product and remarkable service. The unit works well, but I had to use hard case rods to attach to the bottom plate of the tongue (according to the instructions). I also liked the hitch post chain and plug holder.
this works very well, I would recommend this for every trailer
Disappointed that it is all plastic doesn’t seem to be very robust
Fit great , keeps chains and 7way plug dry
I only have a 14 inch tongue short tongue on my cargo trailer this is the only jacket would work for me boulders right on easy to use works perfect thank you
Broke on install. Used the screws that came with it. The plastic cracked as I was screwing it in. Never did get tight.

I will have our customer service team contact you.
The installation was simple just 2 screws into plastic Must be gentle not to over tighten. If rack slips downs a clamp painted will hold it. I like the spring loaded plug cover and plug upright holder. I purchased a 3 layer cover that covers the new jack head and the chain and plug holder.
The screw holes cracked on install.

How did that happen!? I have sent your information over to our customer service department for them to better assist you. We will need some pictures and more information in order to understand what happened. I dont see any warranty information, so lets get that to you as well.
It works just how I need it to.For being plastic ,it is still heavy duty
It took a moment to figure out how this would fit on my jack stand. However once connected properly this has been a very handy piece for keeping chains out of the mud, grass and off the concrete. It also keeps the plug from being exposed.
Great product to keep the chains and plug up of the ground.
I did replace the screws with stainless bolts and locking nuts.
A place for everything and everything in its place. Chains stay in place and are easy to take off for towing duty. The 7-way plug holder is a complete maintenance saver for the pins in various weather
I've just received this and not yet fully installed it, however I did remove it from the package and hold it in the place where it will live. It's going to fit perfectly and with only 2 screws to attach it, there's no doubt it will work just fine. The spring loaded top cap that covers the plug is the main reason I got it, but having a fixed place to hang the safety chains is pretty nice too! I was concerned because it was made from plastic, but once I held it in my hands I realized it's no regular plastic and it won't rust!
Cool product to hang the power cord and safty chains.

Working great this is a very good idea keeps the powerlight plug of the ground and debris from getting into the contacts
I love this. I have one on my RV trailer. I now also have a cargo trailer and I was looking for the same thing but I couldn't find it and fortunately I found it at etrailer.com. very good quality. The one on my RV is 8 years old and still works great
